I never got to see him in the role, I live nowhere near any of the three cities where he played the Phantom. I love watching interviews with him, he has such a pleasant speaking voice and the story of him falling asleep was priceless. I love that he isn't afraid to poke fun at himself.
The fourth time I saw him at the Ahmanson, was after he came back. Ticket sales skyrocketed in anticipation when his return was announced and the excitement was palpable. What a great reception he got, taking back his role!// Thanks for posting this.
I am SO jealous! I was never able to get to one of the cities he performed as they were all so far away both by distance and lack of resources, both of which has kept me weeping all these years, knowing I was going to miss him forever. For, MY connection to POTO is a special one that had me at a hair's breath away from seeing him in NYC in March or June of 1988, when i was Christine's age. Far more to the story, but those who were able to see him, know not what fortune they had. (: (
I have watched it with a tears on my eyes. What a GREAT time Michael had with a Phantom! And with all that glory he is still a hamble, sincere, adorable man....
There's only one Phantom of the Opera and that's our Michael. He is just fabulous. His voice reduces me to tears. He is just amazing. Love him.

I love hearing Michael speak - he has such a delicate voice. Thank you so much for posting this video - I love the part about him falling asleep.

What a treat! Thank you so very much.
I like the lady who said she's seen him 56 times. If I was alive back then I'd TOTALLY do the same!
I love his voice, it's so beautiful, and as someone said before me, so delicate and it's also so sweet. :3
