- A lot of time has passed since the first three pieces of this project. A lot of new material has surfaced. This is me scratching an itch. :)

I've been watching this trailer for four years now. I never get tired of this. The final touch in the end is simply brilliant.
There was an actual Batman comic story with a similar premise. He had been captured and was kept heavily sedated for a period of a few weeks (enough so that his physique would deteriorate so he wasn't so jacked) and the psychologist who had done it tried to convince Bruce he had created the entire scenario in his head, being a billionaire playboy, being Batman... all of it. He even pointed out that a "Vigilante with a secret identity as a wealthy socialite is a common plot." and did things like showing him a Batman costume cobbled together with things he could have found as a homeless man, claiming it was what he was wearing when they found him.
Turning that storyline into an actual Batman movie could make for an interesting psychological thriller. Particularly after the reception the Joker movie had.
twist ending: He was Batman/Bruce Wayne the entire time . The villains gathered together because they knew that to truly defeat Batman, they needed to make him think that he wasn't.

This is fucking amazing. I was only watching the previous trailers recently, and thought to myself "it's a pity he didn't make more". I'm so glad to have been wrong.
I am so happy you continued this and now with more footage it seems like it came full circle. The way I interpret the trailer is that this is a universe in which there is no Batman, but there are those who have a heavy burden of guilt and a hero complex thus the multiple patients who once believed they were Batman. Dom was able to cure them, but Christian Bale is a tougher case. So I guess the plan is Eames will play as Bane so he can break Bale psychologically and from there they can rebuild him, but like Dom Bale has a projection [Joker] that seems to have a lot of control and won't leave him alone. Now the Inception crew along with Bale must team up to defeat Joker to finally cure him. The end of the trailer seems like they are doing more harm than good and are destroying the Bale personality and might be freeing the Batman or Joker personality.
This is a very nice write-up. Well done.

+Greed70 While that's cool, I think this is a world where there is a Bruce Wayne and there was a Batman, but after so much trauma, he can't distinguish what's real and what's not. Whilst he remembers his fight with Bane, he also remembers the Penguin, stuck in a loop where he remembers and is every incarnation of Batman. His mind would be full of traps and dangers partly from an aggressive form of PTSD and at the epicenter of that would be the Joker. Wayne starts to see his villains in the real world as different people and is having a crisis. I figure Cobb and his crew go in to try and repair the damage and bring Bruce back but they discover that the Batman is a stronger ideal than Bruce ever was, acting as the main villain. It would probably en with the merging of both the Bat and Bruce, because one needs the other.

With every Chris Nolan movie released since the fan trailer...I thought about the need for a new 'Batman Complex' trailer incorporating Dark Knight Rises and the Interstellar footage. Glad that you thought same. Even including Revenant! That was nice

This is friggin awesome! man o man! I wish this was a real movie! Batman is a really a crazy dude, so a doctor performs inception to make him think he is batman to escape reality! But then the doctor himself gets lost in this world. LOVE IT!

i_Created_U I know it's been a while since you left this comment but I think what he was saying is that it's mindblowing how good this trailer is considering it is made of clips from many movies. Also, how good a movie like this would be based on the trailer. Most fan made trailers are bad, but this one looks like something a studio would put out.
Nah. Every trailer is made of clips from movies. The facts that its many movies actually makes it easier to find something that fits your storyline or mood to the music. Most fan made trailers might be bad. But they are kind of pointless still? Look up mashup trailers instead. The one with Up and the audio from Inception is just wonderful!!

Everyone that is interpreting this differently is right. It's a "trailer" guys, we're not supposed to fully understand. That's why we gotta wait for it to come out in theatres. A good trailer makes you want to see the movie without giving the entire plot away. Good job op!
