    Have you paid for Club Orange on a prior cruise? Was it worth it? Please leave a comment below to let other cruise travelers know! 😃

      @Eric-ii9ce Me neither! I'd like to try it one time...just to see if their own private dining room really DOES make things better.

    We purchased it for our cruise in couple of month (January). For us, it paid for itself for the upgrade to a very nice aft facing Veranda. Plus we can then have that experience for ourselves as we have cruise on HAL without it before. That way we can compare the two. Having a seperate dining room for our ship is a nice touch.

    I disagree with you on two points: 1) Price is $15/ day for 13+ days cruises and $25 for shorter. 2) it's best to get club orange in advance not on board of the ship where it most likely it will not be available and cabin choice also will be gone. Most of the time by booking the least expensive cabin within the meta category you immediately can be upgraded to best available cabin which is on its own more expensive than paying for cheaper cabin plus club orange, The earlier you book - more benefits you will get from Club Orange.

      Thanks for the feedback and the comment! When I looked up the pricing it was probably different from what it is now. Good to know about getting upgraded immediately.

    Rotterdam has it's own private Club Orange dining room too. We loved Club Orange and the intimate venue. The MDR sounded like a high school cafeteria it was so loud.

    • @cruisetipswithchristina
      @cruisetipswithchristina  4 месяца назад +1

      That is true!! I never find the MDR too loud, but that's probably because we sit at the FAR BACK vs. toward the front. But I just had a coworker that did Orange Club and he said that he and his family LOVED the Club Orange private dining room too!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!!!!
      Do you think you'll pay for Club Orange every time moving forward?

    Hi Christina! Just discovered and enjoy your videos. I'm 4 star mariner just finished HAL cruise #13. I've done Club Orange on the Rotterdam. Booked it on board because I got the cabin upgrade immediately and the onboard cruise consultant knew what she was doing vs other booking avenues. 1. Embarkation: I'm 4 star so no advantage. 2. Stateroom Upgrade: Definitely, as explained. 3. Private Dining Room: Too elitist for me. I like dining with other passengers (I cruise solo). 4: Priority tendering: Again, I can't see myself waving my orange status so I can get on the tender before others. 5. 24 hour room service: Not interested. Also a bit embarrassed in the MDR when handed the Club Orange menu. 6. Anxious? N/A. I don't care about the robes but the tote bags are better quality.

      Thank you for the comment! This is super helpful!! I agree that Club Orange isn't worth it. Seems like lots of people do love it though. So you paid for Club Orange while you were ON the ship, and they had a cabin available to upgrade you to? That's amazing that they had something available!!!

  • @Voorhees-Jason
    @Voorhees-Jason 8 месяцев назад

    I just upgraded to club orange they the lady was really nice and explained everything and told me that I had a normal Balcony and for free she can bump me to spa Balcony which was cool because with the other benefits of club orange so with the free upgrade now I get free spa access when we go on this cruise.

    • @cruisetipswithchristina

    • @Voorhees-Jason
      @Voorhees-Jason 8 месяцев назад

      Well the spa balcony comes with it not club Orange but, the free upgrade was to the spa balcony which was the free cabin upgrade so it worked out that way. @@cruisetipswithchristina

    • @StayWildWanderlust
      @StayWildWanderlust 4 месяца назад

      So the spa balcony is forward on the ship and for some people the motion in forward cabins can be too much. I booked a veranda cabin and asked to be upgraded to an aft view cabin and it was absolutely worth every penny for the beautiful views and extra large balcony that aft view cabins have.

    We're sailing to Mexico next month on a 10 day on Koningsdam. We have Club Orange and got an aft facing stateroom upgrade. That alone was worth the price.
    Also, we're vegan and really like having the Club Orange dining room with a dedicated kitchen and the flexibility to choose our time.
    Just for that, it was so worth the price. The rest is gravy. We have a sailing excursion in Cabo that we need to get to, so priority disembarkation is a big plus.
    BTW, when we purchased CO, it was only $25 a day on Koningsdam. Has there been a price hike recently?

    Just paid $25day pp Orange Club for Noordam 7D Alaska. AND $149 pp for Thermal Spa Pass for week. Both well worth as wanting to have own space, easy in/out, concierge, in room extras, better food selection ALL while paying for just LARGE inside cabin - highest category (50% larger than HAL std or NCL). Would have spent same on OC/TSP BUT only paid for cheapest category inside and be upgraded to highest category at NO CHARGE with OC.

    • @cruisetipswithchristina

      Usually you pay for it at the time you are booking the cruise. If you want it, I'd call your travel agent to get it added.
      However, some of the benefits (like priority boarding), I believe you already get if you book a suite =)

      Club Orange pricing starts from US$25 per person, per day on cruises 13 days or less or US$15 per person, per day on cruises longer than 13 days.

Room service was great. Dinning room food was amazing but lido food was disapointed.

    Book a Suite and priority boarding us included. Go Neptune or Pinacle and you get double mariner points that can get you up to 4 or 5 star class quickly. This classification gets you perks and priorities for life. Paying for club Oange to purchase class privileges for just one trip is a waste of money.

    The aesthetics of the club orange dining room is awful. It’s cold looking. Everyone looks in the windows, it’s like a fishbowl.
    I much prefer the MDR for aesthetics.
