I have performed Bach, Beethoven, Brahms and Philip Glass, and I met Gyorgy Ligeti and thanked him for writing those amazing pieces in 2001: a Space Odyssey. I reserve the right to say that Suzanne Vega is my favorite composer of all time. There are other good composers to be sure but her compositions are the ones that I love most of all, over many years.

Thank you for posting this interview! I look forward to sharing these insights with the students at the Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts, who are thrilled to learn all about Carson McCullers here in Columbus, Georgia. Many, many thanks to Ms. Vega for her valuable work, bringing out the best themes of love and acceptance and faith in the human spirit from McCullers' work, which dovetails beautifully with Vega's own sophisticated (yet down-to-earth) artistic beliefs and style. I am thrilled to have found this interview, and I hope to come upon any footage I can find from the stage production of An Evening with Carson McCullers to share with my students and colleagues!

Love Suzanne Vega's Music Very very Much : ) .. BUT I Do NOT Care For This Woman Interviewing Suzanne, She seems to want, to, Try put her in the Corner, First she questions her Sexual Gender, Then her Hair Cut / Style - I Like Suzanne in Most of her Videos, I don't care what her hair looks like or what ever, I fell in Love with Suzanne's music thru the words, the Music , also how she she seems to have so much fun in lots of her videos, She shows a funny and fun side of herself, I just saw her video for the 1st time (( Frank & Eva )) Love it Tons because also another video she is so COOL - I actual think the World of her - Example - If someone wants to see a Huge Female side of her in a video- Watch No Cheap Thrill, WOW she Looks Gorgeous ! But I really like her tons because of her music - The Type of music, and how she sings she Definately has HER OWN Style (( LOVE IT )) The Topic can be touchy but the song ( If I were a Weapon ) - she has a Really Sound to her voice also Even in the Song ( The Widpws Walk ) I feel she puts her Heart into her Music and can put a funny sweet side to it as well . I Hate People who seem to,.. at time Judge or waant to put them in a corner Sorta speak. Bottom Line - Love Suzanne Vega's Music PERIOD.

Knock off all this "gender bias" baiting crap. Women are as successful or more successful than men in almost every profession.

You don’t have to put ‘men’ down to make your point. You are just as bad then💙
