Super excited to get out and do some kayak creek bass fishing with my good buddy John Dalton (Creek Fishing Adventures) - it’s always super fun to explore and brand new river or creek and see what kind of fish it holds. One way to find out the true size of some of the bass in any area is a bigger swim bait. My favorite swim bait lately has been the Berkley Cull Shad.

That was a classic cluster truck for sure. Hate it when the boys take a dip in cold water 💧 and I'm not mentally prepared for that. Oof. You enjoy every trip out, take it all in and let the therapy flow dude. Enjoy being in the forest because of the trees and water. Time heals brother.. blessings

I know when I see Alex Rudd and John Dalton, in a fishing video, it is going to be good. Two very honest people who love to fish. Alex, I am glad you sacrificed your gonads for your pliers. We need our tools. LOL.
Love the pause of realization after dropping your pliers in the water. Sorry about the lost equipment, but it got a chuckle out of me cause I've been there before.

I need to have you come to SC one day. I go each year to a private 2 lakes and 10 ponds.
Catching 8lbers is the norm and 10lbers get you excited. I caught 8 and 10s everyday. Just got back yesterday and man is was a blast.
Private lakes are always fun!

Want to try a berkley cullshad but I mostly fish waters with no shad but tons of bluegill . What color out of the cullshad would you pick ... thanks
Any of them work honestly. The bass can’t distinguish color a lot of times as much as profile but if you want something more blue gillish I’d go Electric Shad or HD Perch.
Have ya done a video on how you keep the camera from overheating and how you get the catches w/out camera failures?
Take out the battery and run and external battery pack. That should solve the over heating issue

Haven't been to douglas but I beat the banks on the southern part of cherokee, It's a tough lake if you're beating the bank and I think a lot of fish will move offshore now that summer is here. Since the lake is near full pool, around the boat ramp at Byrd springs should be worth a shot. A bunch of locals say Mossy creek is the juice but I haven't been. Across the street from the Oakland baptist church off lakeshore dr. is a decent spot for me from fall - early spring but since the lake filled up the spot has been tough. The seawall just above the cherokee dam boat launch along cherokee dam rd. is alright if you're ok with the sloped rocky bank. By the bridge where 11W meets 25E that's the Briar fork area, It get Loaded with spots late winter/early spring. Goodluck out there bud
