I saw and met yelawolf at warped tour in VA beach and he had such a chill conversation with me it was crazy to be able to meet someone and then they become and do what they accomplish
He sent the record to Em for Em to get on it but months went by and he never heard anything then the diss came out and that’s when he knew why Em didn’t get on the track

I think they had alot of respect for P. Add a deadline and they hadto do what they had to.
The idea for the record came before the beef. Then Em dropped Kamikaze out of nowhere, which is what threw the idea on it's head. After that is when the MGK and EM went at it with rap devil and killshot.

Yo Stevie I know I’m a couple days late but I watched your newer reaction of soldier and I have a suggestion for a song that anyone can relate to. Rock Bottom on the slim shady LP. This song has bars from em in 99 which brings it back to his first successful album 4 years prior. It’s also for anyone who has ever struggled financially which is a lot of people I think many people from all races can relate to this song. Everyone talks about Killshot but for me MGK never survived past Not Alike.
Nobody ever covers that after the "Killshot" MGK PRETENDS was not that Eminem set up a low-key, backdoor meet at a radio station's event in Vegas everyone attends to sit down with him and G Eazy, who had been friends but started beefing out of the Eminem tilt, squashing that rift because he didn't want them falling out over him. Now, if Em wanted to kill people's careers, he could do it without spitting a verse. He's so the GOAT about the music and REAL rap culture (which isn't a race thing), he doesn't even hold grudges against most people who come directly for him! He defends and moves on. It does drive me nuts, though, that people talk about MGK having a better diss in "Rap Devil," when it was just simpler. BEFORE "Rap Devil" already Em had done that thing he does so well of rapping LIKE he's MGK (immersed in that style) and then coming at him with his own, proving there wasn't a thing or skill--even a trick--that he could do rapping Em couldn't...OF COURSE! When you deliver a kill shot as the coup de grace BEFORE the other guy even responds, how is it in dispute who's the best?!? There was an interview MGK did when he dropped all that defiant fronting he does and pointed out it wasn't just HIM who was affected but 3 rappers from Cleveland and the city who were hurting, whining, "Let us win!" When you whine for a win, you're not a devil able to tempt others into selling souls and doing your bidding; you're just a pathetic poser!
