I loved the black and white floor so much and when you painted over it, I almost cried. Watching you transform your space into something you love is all that matters. The pure joy on your face was everything! Love your videos, your creativity, your enthusiastic outlook and most of all your attention to detail with every single project you tackle. Your home is lovely and so you. May your Holidays be filled with love.
Ya I like the old floor better But I don't see it everyday either. I imagine if I did, I'd want to change it too. Everything she does looks better than I imagine (I have no vision)
This is fantastic. I have been wanting to do my front entry for 37 years and now I have the plan. Thank you so much for your ideas and know how. Happy Holidays
Great improvement! When you were deciding squares vs diamonds, I was mentally saying "diamonds, diamonds, diamonds!" and they look fantastic. Thanks for reminding us that simple improvements can make a huge difference! Happy holidays to you and yours, and I look forward to new content in 2023!
I loved the first floor but I absolutely love the new floor. Also the little bench is so cute and perfect for the space. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Two years? TWO YEARS?!?!?! This blows my mind. I guess time flies when we're having fun. Love the floor and bench especially, and here's to manymanymany more years! (Although for the record, I also loved the tractor seats!!)
The new floor and look is another amazing creation. I will confess I really liked the black and white floor and was sad it was going away. 😩 Maybe it could be revived in another space?
So I LOVED the original makeover 2 years ago (how has it been that long?!) but I gotta say - this refresh really flows with the rest of the house and your aesthetic and looks GORGEOUS!! You literally kill it every single time. I also had the same idea as Geoffrey about the tractor seats, when I first saw them I thought “it’s so narrow there and they’re permanent and will be a beast to clean around”, but I guess that’s the mom in me 😂 I loved them a lot, but the bench you made it soooo perfect!
Amazing work! But I just kept thinking why she does not put wood/boards from studio to the rest of the house?!?! So you could cross the hallway when need it 😆 🤣
Love the color of floor and door together! I like how you are willing to change things. I always feel obligated to leave things as is even if I am not crazy about them
Can't believe its been two years. Dani you are a super burst of sunshine, energy and inspiration. Also you calling Jeffery the "Husband Jeffrey" Iove love to both of ye🥰
I've always been reluctant to commit to design decisions, but you've made me see you can keep refreshing things whenever you're ready for something new. It's not forever. Just a little detail: I think it would be cute if you use your Cricut to lavel the glass soap dispenser. I assume it's hand sanitizer.
I feel you with this one - yesterday I put the first coat of a new paint colour in my hallway, going over a colour that I absolutely loved, and still do, but I really wanted a more coherent feel to the house and it wasn't bringing it. Sometimes you don't change it because you've stopped loving it, but because you want a new vibe or an upgrade, etc.
I loved the old floor but the new one is a happy surprise, I wasn't sure from the thumbnail but the colours with the new bench just feel so much warmer and inviting.
I am working around my house today, and I thought about painting something. Then I thought, "you can't paint because it's raining." Then I realized it's not raining here! I just internalized the rain shots from your place
Oh, my gosh! Loved the previous floor and thought you shouldn't paint over it... I was wrong! Love, love love the new painted diamond shapes and color. Girl, you got style as well as talent. And on a side note you are a natural in front of the camera! A quirky personality and charm delights your viewers.
Really loved the black and white before, the new colours are what I had my kitchen tiles and floors some...25yrs ago...glad to see its back, that glass paint stuff is great 👍
To me the floor did not need an update but when the reveal shown the update and yeah it looks better and brighter. And more welcoming and calm. Great job Danie!
Glad you did the "diamond" pattern but I hope you consider doing a Victorian period tile pattern in the future - I think you would like it. I'm always amazed at how much time & energy you put into all your home updates. Whenever I see you doing wood work, I always wonder how cool it would be to see you work with Ben & Erin from HGTV's "Home town" - you guys have such a good appreciation & respect for wood, decor & people!
Love the floor colors! Hated to see the tractor seats go, but love the new bench! And you can put the tractor seats in another spot. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
One of my favorite interior design styles that has really lasted the test of time, literally, all over is Gustavian or Swedish Country. Muted colors (toned down with Raw Umber, the secret, just a bit) and painted tile looking floors. Jah. And not just red and white or black and white, All different colors. One favorite pic I have seen is Mossy Green and Cream. Jah. Its so nice. I wish I could do diy in my apt. But I can dream. Very excited for you, Dani. Nice job.
I loved the old tile and green door combo but this is very nice and stylish too! Love the bench and the colour of the tile! Very Parisian! ❤ happy holidays to you and your family!
Looks amazing. I love the floor! I have tile flooring in my entry way that is very early 2000s and I always think of painting it but chicken out. This makes me want to attempt it though! You are seriously talented Dani and I love watching your transformations.
Wait I thought I watched your entry way update when you installed the tractor seats...you're telling me that was two years ago?!?! I remember you first showing your new home and was so (and still) so excited to watch everything you do. I just saw your office organization. The drawers on the shelf are brilliant! Hiding the cords looks so satisfying lol and the little desk drawer is so cute!!!
Danie!!!! The floor is beautiful. Its nice departure from the traditional black and white checkered though that is also classic and very nice. The bebch is a nice addition in the space.
Sooooo sad to see your black and white floor go. I think it got even better as it started to weather. That said, your new space is fantastic. I'm glad it brings you joy and is now better suited for Jeffrey to move your furniture finds in-and-out, haha. 💜🖤
Totally forgot that floor was painted. I have never had any luck using a stencil without getting an unholy mess in the end. And I am surprised by how long that passing detail held up in such a high traffic area. New cinnamon color looks great! Glad you did the diamonds instead of square grid. Happy holidays!
I love the warm colours of the floor . Danie Jeffrey , Kanobe and families I wish you the very best Christmas and New Year ❤. So looking forward to 2023 in all its creative forms 🥰
Love your videos Danie. Really inspiring. I am writing from Panama, in Central America. Wishing you a Happy New Year. Thank you for sharing your ideas and talent to inspire others.
Oh Danie you really did an amazing job making it look fresh and beautiful, warm and inviting! And I love the bench it’s sweet and sturdy with a vintage feel. The surrounding decor also ups the cozy. Nice work!
Merry Christmas Danie, Geoff and Kenobi! Enjoy your time off and I look forward to a new year of your videos. You remind me so much of my little sister who is so very creative and whom I don’t get to see enough. I will see her this Christmas! Love you!
Did this to my kitchen floor years ago. Using oil enamel. Taped off one color & it takes a long time to dry. We could walk on the one color. Then reversed it so we walked on the other color while it dried. This was the kitchen so it had to have sone accessibility while drying. It held up a really long time & I didn't have to put a clear coat of anything on it. Oil based enamel is very durable, pourch paint is great to. It's an oil based enamel as well, but colors are usually limited!

Borrowing a page from your book, I am floored at how well that turned out! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
It really "checked" all the boxes!
@@pama.6410 I see a pattern emerging here 😄
Hahahaha floored 😂 that actually made me laugh out loud what’s wrong with me?
Massive round of applause for your editor! Loved all of the touches xx

The floor looks so great! The color combo is so warm and inviting ❤
Oh and thanks for a great year of sharing your skills and designs with me.
The floor is the cat's meow.... or in your case, the dog's woof. LOVE IT!
Geoff imitation 10 out of 10 :D
Edit: Also happy holidays to you and all your loved ones! ♥
I thought so haha xD

As always you have have done a Jaw Dropping job, cannot wait to see what is coming for 2023.
I've always been reluctant to commit to design decisions, but you've made me see you can keep refreshing things whenever you're ready for something new. It's not forever.
Just a little detail: I think it would be cute if you use your Cricut to lavel the glass soap dispenser. I assume it's hand sanitizer.
Perfect warm earthy red with the suttle off white.
The bench is a thing of beauty.

I'm obsessed with the new floor. It looks like a complete different space ♥
I loved the old floor but the new one is a happy surprise, I wasn't sure from the thumbnail but the colours with the new bench just feel so much warmer and inviting.
I love the new floor! After this video I watched Paige Wassel’s new LA home tour and she had pretty much the same tile in her kitchen.
I love the diamonds! They’re almost like arrows inviting guests into your home!
Love how your husband and my husband have the same “voice”🤣
I am working around my house today, and I thought about painting something. Then I thought, "you can't paint because it's raining." Then I realized it's not raining here! I just internalized the rain shots from your place

Looks stunning! I was talking to the screen, diamond-shaped, diamond, yes, diamond!!!
Really loved the black and white before, the new colours are what I had my kitchen tiles and floors some...25yrs ago...glad to see its back, that glass paint stuff is great 👍
I love that new twist on checkerboard, very creative. Love that reddish color! Well done!
I loved the former stenciled floor...but this one? I can't be mad at it! Looks great!
To me the floor did not need an update but when the reveal shown the update and yeah it looks better and brighter. And more welcoming and calm. Great job Danie!
I adored that floor before and was worried about the transition but omg I ended up LOVING the result. Works with your house so well!!
Glad you did the "diamond" pattern but I hope you consider doing a Victorian period tile pattern in the future - I think you would like it. I love checkerboard floors - they are classic. Your floor looks wonderful.
Love the floor colors! Hated to see the tractor seats go, but love the new bench! And you can put the tractor seats in another spot. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I wondered why you would wish to change your entry way that was already cool, but I must admit, I love this change ! Bravo
Danie, with your lovely sense of humor and clever ideas you brighten my day!
Danie, you are a gem. The entry is inviting and adds intrigue (if this is the entry, what fabulousness awaits me?). Best to you.
I really liked your entryway before but somehow it's even prettier now! It's just warm and classy and very welcoming.
i love the new entryway it just feels more balanced and natural now!
The coolest entryway EVER!!! That floor is amazing! 🤩😍

The floor is perfect!!!!! Gives your house a little bit of Home & Garden™️ charm
I love the larger scale of the new floor pattern and love the color too! 🤩
The glass in your entry door is just incredible!!! I have a mission bungalow and I’m salivating!!! And you’re adorable!
NICE!!!
☆☆☆Put something under rug to prevent slipping!☆☆☆
My husband and I DIY out of an open shed [former dog kennel] and boy am i tempted to stencil paint the concrete floor after seeing how you do yours.
Usually not a fan of checkered anything but in this spice color it looks nice. Love the bench! Great job, Dani!
I loved the old tile and green door combo but this is very nice and stylish too! Love the bench and the colour of the tile! Very Parisian! ❤ happy holidays to you and your family!

You should totally do it!!!! Such an easy way for a big transformation!
Wait I thought I watched your entry way update when you installed the tractor seats...you're telling me that was two years ago?!?! Brilliant colors for the floor! Bench is inviting and not overwhelming! Blessed Christmas!
Fun refresh!
I've heard that Frog painters' tape is good at really masking off to avoid bleed thru, but have not tried myself.
You did a great job although I must admit I did love the black and white floor.
Danie!!!! The floor is beautiful. Its nice departure from the traditional black and white checkered though that is also classic and very nice. The bebch is a nice addition in the space.
Please, if you haven't already, add some felt pads on the bottoms of the legs on the bench! The space looks awesome Danie!!
Love the floor especially the diamond layout 👍👍👍
Sooooo sad to see your black and white floor go. I think it got even better as it started to weather. That said, your new space is fantastic. I'm glad it brings you joy and is now better suited for Jeffrey to move your furniture finds in-and-out, haha. 💜🖤
