what level of experience do you have to have before trying this? I have just recently past my CP but I'm finding top to bottoms on my paraglider more fun
I have a licence in skydiving as well as in paragliding (+ swiss speedfling course). By the time of the video I was actively Speedflying for about 3.5 years and had an estimate of 400 flights. I was basically going for flights whenever the weather would have allowed me to. In this period I actively downsized from a Spitfire 13 to a Mirage 9.5. Proximity flying, big swoops and manouvers like barrel rolls need many repetitions so that you are able to handle them in the max controlled way. No matter how experienced you are or how "safe" you think you fly, you should always be aware that you can never rule out accidents (I also had one a year ago, and of course I did not expect it at all...). What ever sports, as long as you are moving with high speed next to the ground, be careful. Do not rush your limits and take your time, and in case go for the more safe option ;-) On top of that have fun! :D
