Galaxy DX 47HP

Video says is all. The only thing that isnt stock is the deer hunter mod for the 11 meter frequencies. I did not perform this mod myself but I can tell you that it is on frequency--no alignment needed.

A couple of things I don't like about this model Galaxy is they are AM and FM only. I like SSB and with SSB it is a good idea to have a frequency counter built into the radio. If it had those two things it would be perfect in my eye's. I love the Mod lamp and the power, plus the lights look fancy as well. I am a sucker for nice LED lights on a radio. I purchased a DX93T, it has the things I like. If you only want AM then get this radio. I love just about every Galaxy radio made. I plan on getting a 98VHP, 95T2 if I can find one for under $450. that is in good condition would also like to get a DX86 they are nice and small for cars and trucks that don't have a lot of room for a full size radio.

yea that was the problem i took it to the cb shop and they fix it he say it wasn't converted. now is working exelent but thanks for the coments i like learn new good things

i have a question i got this same radio brand new. i stalled in my semitruck with a wilson 2000 trucker antena but the problem its that i can't hear others trucks and they can't hear me either i haven't tune my antena it's that the problem or the frequency band its to high?

+Fabian Rayas, Is it a 10 meter? If so, has it been modified to talk on CB nets? The CB (or 11 Meter) spectrum is 26.9650MHz to 27.4050MHz. 10 meter radios that have not been mod'ed will not cover that band. If it has, you will probably need to make sure your "band" knob is on either band D or E.
Just know that it is illegal to modify a 10 meter radio to broadcast on CB channels.
