Power detect is lowes way of selling upgraded tools since they can't sell flexvolt. If you buy at home depot you get flexvolt if you buy at lowes you get power detect

From what Dewalt have said Power Detect is not exclusive to Lowes, so Home Depot may end up selling them. But yeah, Lowes doesn't sell Flexvolt, so you are better of with the equivalent Flexvolt tool if its the same sort of price. However, there's no Flexvolt combi drill, so this is the best Dewalt do.

avlanduk actually there is a flex volt combo but they said this “new” power detect series is 30% stronger out put power so yea....
