Looking back it’s so wonderful to see the early incarnation of Pee-Wee in this. As a child in the 80’s, I like most kids, didn’t know Pee-Wee wasn’t the real person and it wasn’t until the 90’s when I was a teenager and discovered, like most teenagers, the Cheech & Chong movies and Paul Reubens playing someone else and again this early version. Sadness for the loss of a true comedy icon. RIP Paul thanks for always making us laugh.
As I think, most would agree, the Cheech and Chong films got progressively less funny, but Paul Reubens was definitely the bright spot in this one. He was perfect for the role of the smart ass desk clerk. Laughed my ass off when he started yelling “Ataca.”

I saw this excellent movie many years AFTER Pee-Wee's Playhouse. Hearing him curse had my brother and I losing our fucking minds with laughter. The world needed THIS Pee-Wee in his larer years.
I never knew that before. I was a big fan of the child's character and the two 80s movies he did. I was craaaaazy about him so shocked to see this. No idea, the character started out for adults until word got around the Internet. I think if he hadn't morphed it, it wouldn't have created the whole stupid scandal that he had the audacity to jack off at an adult movie theater, big friggin deal.

Definitely, the first two Cheech and Chong movies were great. By the next sequels they become very much a relic of the late 70s.
