I'd consider The Creator as top-tier modern cyberpunk. It's a world that deserves so much more than a single movie. Especially considering they filmed it on a FX3!! Which convinced me to buy the FX30.
What a fantastic look into an amazing movie! Brett's concepts were incredible. As an aspiring artist, seeing behind-the-scenes shots like these are so valuable. Thank you!
I don't think I've even heard of this movie but I will definitely check it out now, the scenes looked stunning! Love the visual of taking a real world location and adding structural elements with perfect lighting.
I saw the movie and although I wouldn't say I was much into it, the scenes shown there were incredible. Very believable world building and great attention to details to establish that environment. The sense of scale came through very well. Edit: I think this is the kind of movie you need to watch multiple times to understand it.
so in awe of this guy's talent. i think one of the reasons this film looked and felt so real was the use of real locations that were embellished with cgi, rather than creating whole virtual environments and having the actors walk around inside a green box.
The very different approach to do the VFX in this movie is just outstanding. I hope to see more of this in the future, even though its an unorthodox filming technique for VFX, the images are a thousand times more beautiful and organic than the "we just make everything in 3D" movies. I love the outcome. Big thank you!
An absolute masterclass from all involved. It's another example to the others (Joker 2 for example) what can be done with less. I love this movie and what you all did. Thank you for your service :)
1:03 i want a tutorial from Mr. Brett on how to do this kind of shots please. Like how do you integrate into the footage and what kind of software its used. It would help a lot of indie filmmakers.
Love this. Really underlines the importance of human touch and thought process behind the world-building. To me it's a testament that slapping a few words together in a prompt doesn't make you an artist. Sorry. btw love the atari logo ;)
I think, by now, everyone knows how great ILM is. 💖These short break-downs are nice and all.... However, what we'd all like to see is more in-depth(s) of the process and and "How it was done". Pretty Please. XOXO
Storywise, the movie was complete garbage and probably my biggest disappointment of the year, but design, worldbuilding, graphics and effects were absolutely amazing and outstanding, which makes all this effort quite a waste.
I loved the art. The story was kinda dumb like "ethnic minority + AI = good VS white man + military = bad" (you mcmuffins are terarded) but the art direction was good
humans tending to crops aboard a floating platform? ship with obvious weak point? NOMAD obvious rip off of NORAD. only one letter changed. Where do I even start?
spoiler alert:::::::::::::::::: if you saw the movie , you can relate more ...the space station looks like a female reproductive organ......in climax when mother and father are kissing in space station, the son escapes using a escape pod , comes to earth and becomes a hope to people here.....psychosexual storytelling.
This was a brilliant movie, the world building was just top notch, amazing display of talent by the teams involved.
sadly, the story was meh
Saw this movie recently, and the visuals are I N S A N E !
@@blueroninstudios in the theater some of the shots were so mind boggling they took me out of the moment like “holy crap look at that freeway”
One of the kindest and most talented artists in the industry! He is responsible for so many iconic shots and environments in cinema.

I would love more movies in this Universe, this movie will get better with time
visually best movie of 2023. be proud in knowing that
add the fact that the movie was made for $80M while looking like a $200M
This would make for part of a fantastic "Art of" book
There already is an "art of" book of The Creator. I have it. its really good!

The results have been just breathtaking. An amazing cinematic experience.

there are so many aspects of this film that i love
This movie is a Masterpiece in terms of VFX and Cinematography on a Budget
Your work was amazing on this movie! The film had stellar world building and truely looked like a grounded Sci-fi realm!

Outstanding work, env in every short was like a painting.
Woefully woefully underrated film. Oren Soffer’s cinematography is incredible.
Well it has a very stupid and cliché script. So that's an issue.
@@Geronimo_Jehoshaphat did you get my dislike? I am always curious if it notifies the commenter they got a dislike

Nope. I only got your whining.
Its not even out yet so how would you know if its underrated?
@@atom608 The movie came out more than a year ago
Amazing art in the movie, truly genius designs!
Ngl, The visual are top notch..🔥

This movie should win oscar best special effect.... To real

Great way to make us feel that present world could be futuristic

2023's The Creator is the best movie Simon Stalenhag never wrote and illustrated.
Bevelled edges, THE sci-fi trope. Sharp corners? Modern. Bevelled corners/edges? Sci-Fi! XD
Sick!!
This was my favorite film of last year until I saw the Iron claw!!!
anybody has info on the screen/tablet /hardware he is using?
Anyone got any duct tape I can borrow? Still trying to put my mind together after it exploded.
Still need to see this…I know it’s older, but a spoiler warning would’ve helped. 😕
Is there a terminology to this kind of art? i.e art nouveau or art deco
L.A., Thailand and Asia are very futuristic in 2070s!
I own the art book
Me too
Too bad the script writers for this film were not working at the same level as the special effects team.
How does the ship float? It's clearly inside the atmosphere and not on space.
It's a sci-fi movie smart ass.
4 minutes? .. this is way too short! Would love to see a break down of every shot lol
They are looking like those drawn futuristic buildings on Pinterest

Wish we got a more technical insight as to what production techniques were used, seems like a really missed opportunity.
As much as i liked this movie and im a fan of its director:
good looking shit, its still shit...
And this time, it was looking very, very good
Sucks that barely anyone saw this movie, the plot was fairly weak but the visuals and design was fantastic
ILM SCIFI 😎🥤🍿💥💥💥💥💥💥
SPOILER ALERT?! Haven't watched it yet, not sure I'm going to now.
Visuals in this are sick but the movie was HORRIBLE.
If only the story of The Creator was better

Another clear example if great visuals, stunning, but if the script sucks...the movie fails and it did😂😂😂😂
