54 of 63 - Shin Ging Wa Shoo at the 2024 Nanjing Show

We're visiting another Chinese dealer here on the main Avenue of the Expo Center.
I'm REALLY impressed by the quality and variety of specimens on display here - ESPECIALLY the Malachites!!!!
This one dealer has probably the best variety of Malachite specimens I found at the show and pretty much all of them are mounted in the Chinese wooden decorative mounts. But that makes this dealer's inventory the PERFECT inventory to really talk about these wooden bases and whether or not there's a place in the display of Western collections for them.

The wooden base is not here or there for me. It's quite creative, abit over done in liking, although it's an idea to emulate from.
Wooden base also makes it difficult to import into some countries.
