Inclusive Green Finance: From Concept to Practice

Vulnerable groups play a key role in achieving a just transition to a resilient and environmentally sustainable economy. Inclusive green finance is empowering, through financial inclusion, those at the base of the economic pyramid to adapt to the impacts of climate change and mitigate their own carbon and environmental footprints. Without empowering households at the base of the pyramid and enhancing the business opportunities of MSMEs, a just transition will remain a wishful thinking. IGF can play an important role in supporting the just transition.There is strong link between financial stability and climate change environmental degradation and inclusive green finance is a way to ensure to limit those negative impacts.
In conjunction with the London Climate Action Week 2021, we are proud to launch this video, in collaboration with the SOAS University of London, Centre for Sustainable Finance.
