Solaris Urbino 12 III Facelift 2

This is one of the 10 3rd generation Solaris Urbino 12s running in Częstochowa! They were delivered in 2014 and numbered 001-010. They were fitted with a Cummins engine as opposed to most other new Urbinos at that time which were often fitted with a DAF engine. Although I find the DAF engine to be more original for Urbinos, I also find the Cummins engine producing nice sound with quite a melodious braking! The bus also seemed to be in rather good condition.

Fajny przejazd wiem że nie lubię Solarisów ale w tych Solarisach Euro 6 wolę Cumminsa niż DAFa a ten z Cumminsem naprawdę fajnie brzmi.

Cummins engine works very well with all 3 main gearboxes Allison, ZF,Voith , Most popular Gearbox we use in the UK other than Volvo,Mercedes etc

You're right actually now that I think about it! I'm just more used to hearing DAF engines in Solaris buses because that's the most common choice but Cummins works well here too and with other bus manufacturers as well!

@@Rafa2241 good to hear , nowadays in the UK we mostly use DAF engines on trucks but back in the 2000s they was popular on buses
