A photographer here amd currently i'm using the X100 Ultra. The reason Vivo's portraits look softer is they're trying to replicate mirrorless cameras where you'll get less processed softer looks while keeping insane amount of face details. I sold my 15 Pro Max to buy this one. The camera in this phone is kinda like Apple Ecosystem cause once you use this camera , you can't go back. This X series has the potential to beat Mirrorless cameras in the future. The zoom and portraits here is miles ahead than the competition.I'm using 13 pro max as my secondary device now btw.
Using the Vivo X200 pro global as we speak. Had it imported to the US. All day battery, check. Super quick processor, check. Big display, check. Fast charging, check. Closest camera to actually having a DSLR in your pocket, check. The only way I can explain this camera is, the pictures tell a story if that makes sense. It's just different compared to what Samsung, Google and iPhone currently put out. The competition doesn't take bad photos and will get the job done but, Vivo just makes you want to go out and take photos. The others are just a camera in your pocket for when you need it. That's the best way to explain this camera setup.
Have you encountered any lense flare issues at all?. Have you noticed any stabilization issues and HDR inconsistencies in video recording?. Thanks in advance.
@@neilmcguinness4422 stabilization and HDR work fine. No issues there. The lens flare discussion is not a big deal, every phone has lens flare problems. The design of the camera housing maybe makes it a bit more noticeable but you have to have the angle of the camera and direction of the light to hit it perfect to even notice it. It's not an issue to me. iPhone, Samsung, Google all have the same lens flare problems but when I used those as well, it was not an issue because when I shoot photography, I'm getting the best shot possible and not purposely angling the camera and trying to get lens flare to show up on purpose lol
I’m using the 16 Pro Max at the moment and the Vivo X200 Pro completely demolishes it in photos. I have the Global version coming in this week and it’s going to be my secondary phone moving forward. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Watching from iPhone 16 Pro Max. Vivo is killing it in the camera department!! I’ve watched a lot of phone camera comparisons. I have also taken a lot of photos with the iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy (20k+) and from what I’ve seen with Vivo X100 Ultra/X200 Pro and my current iPhone 16 Pro Max 1TB 🤦🏿♂️ Yooooo! (Please excuse my mother’s tongue😁) OVER ALL CAMERA DEPARTMENT (My Opinion) #1 - Vivo X100 Ultra/ X200 Pro #2 - Oppo Find 8 Pro (Portraits 🤌🏿U👂🏿) #3 - ? It is hard to choose one! iPhone Pro models being compared with non Flagships now is crazy work in 2024! Apple with all that money.. 💥No 100x Zoom. 💥No new 200 ULTRA Eagle Eye Terminator mega macro pixel sensor. 💥Gave us a 48 something pixels on a sensor that didn’t make a difference either way! 💥Charge me all that money too and can’t even put a fast charger in the box for me! That’s a BAD APPLE! 🚬😎
I so wish 8 could get my hands on this in the UK that would work here, need the global model. Great video, a lot of familiar faces in that video, everyone's singing the X200 Pro praises, I e got the OPPO Find X8 Pro, it's good but I'd send it back for the Vivo if only I could get it! 😊❤
I really love your work on the obscure companies in the mobile department. The phones such as the Honor Magic 7 Pro amazing phones but stay hidden due to lack of advertisement. You solve that. Don't give up, you're doing great. 😊
In India, the probability of success is very closesly related to a price point. There are many companies who made their fortune in India than they ever could from the western markets solely by offering competitive price. If they launch this phone below ₹ 70000 this would be a game changer
great camera phone...will probably pick one of those vivos when my pixel 6a is done..probably next year...its up there with the flagship and you can import it way cheaper....
Only heard of Vivo before but finally stepping away from the usual Samsung. I have tried LG, HTC, Asus in the past. So glad I gave Vivo X200 Pro a try!
Thanks! I do like the software better on the Oppo Find X8 Pro so that is a big deal. Both cameras are good but I prefer the X200 Pro camera overall. If I had to pick one for a daily driver though I might edge it to the Oppo just for the overall software experience.
Vivo have (rightly) emulated the Fujifilm aesthetic and the emotion that it evokes. They've been at it for a few years now and in terms of photography, no other smartphone really compares. They've invested a lot of time, money and effort into this and it shows. I'd like to point out that Vivo (for the X series) use their own V chip for ISP. They don't use the onboard ISP from Mediatek or Qualcomm (Spectra). The rest of the hardware is top notch too. They don't compromise on any part of the device. The only boohoo is Funtouch OS that they use on the global variants. It's fine, but lacks polish, looks outdated and doesn't have as many features as Origin OS or other OEM software like Colour OS, One UI, Hyper OS etc.
I have the x100 Pro and I'm telling you. This phone will blow your minds. Best camera on a smartphone by far. x200 doesn't seem far of an upgrade so I might as well hold off for now.
Man how far this company has come. I was an X100 Pro user then switched to the X Fold3 Pro. The X100 Pro is definitely the camera king of 2024, hard to imagine X200 series will be even better
The biggest hurdle with Vivo is the software experience, it’s no match to the more mature OneUI or the Pixel. The second biggest hurdle is: price. People are accustomed to Vivo being a budget brand, now that Vivo is releasing flagships close to Galaxy S pricing, most of the general smartphone users population are thinking why do you have to buy a Vivo with such a high price, it’s just doesn’t make sense. At least these were the comments of everyone around me when I told them about my interest on X100 Pro: don’t they make cheap phones with cheap specs? Why do you want to pay such xxx amount for a Vivo? 😅
Man the main thing holding a lot of us back is the software. Funtouch looks like a rom from 5 years ago and OriginOS would be perfect if it was actually global like Oppo does with ColorOS.
