San Francisco State University (commonly referred to as San Francisco State, SF State and SFSU) is a public university in San Francisco. The university was founded in 1899 as a state-run normal school for training school teachers, obtaining state college status in 1921 and state university status in 1972. The 141 acre campus is located in the southwest part of the city, less than two miles from the Pacific coast.

@@CampusMania I worked for universities in the past. I think could could build a frigin empire with this content. Can you imagine the spin off material? Huge. Start local and build out. Every kid and parent considering a college will have you as a resource! I’m not saying this lightly. You have a concept that can be very lucrative.

Good to hear. Good luck in the application process. I recommend applying to multiple Universities. I'd apply for 10 Universities at least, but of course it depends on your budget.

I had a beautiful view overlooking Lake Merced (from the 14th floor). The 1989 earthquake made the building unsafe and was demolished shortly after. ....so many great memories of SFSU! 👨🏼🎓

With their war on women's sports including the attack on Riley Gaines this school has become more mentally ill than Western State Hospital near Tacoma, Washington was back in 1974, the last time I visited there.

It depends on what you're looking for. Maybe it suits what you want and maybe it doesn't. Overall, there are better Universities and worse Universities in the San Francisco bay area.

Bro, I got accepted to SFSU, Cal State LA, NYIT (22k scholarship), Seattle Pacific University (13k scholarship) for bachelor's in CS. Which one should I go for?
First of all congratulations Dushyant! I'm not sure which one of them is better than the others in CS. But you should consider many things when you make a decision: 1) Location, 2) Tuition, and 3) Ranking. Definitely Seattle is colder than SF and LA. Generally, California is more expensive than Washington. And educational institutions in California have higher rankings than Washington overall, but I'm not sure about those specific ones. In short, you need to do some research before you make a decision.
@@CampusMania I have checked everything brother, after the scholarship, the tuition for all the institutions is between 15-20k per year, and location wise New York, Seattle, and California are good for CS major, I don't want to go much into ranking bcoz I don't think ranking matters in bachelors studies bcoz there's not much of research work at the undergrad level. The more I research about them the more I get confused, Can you please give me one name between three of them or which university would you decide among them. I know it's a bit irritating but it would help me a lot in making a decision since the May 1 deadline is approaching.
@@GamingkSasteNashe Then the determining factor for you would be which one of them has the best college experience overall. Generally, I would say California has a much better education system and is a livable place more than New York (maybe Seattle is better than both as a living place). I would choose to live in San Francisco over Los Angeles though. The bay area is the dream for all CS majors. So, I would pick SFSU.

Right now, everyone is fleeing the bay area because it's very expensive to live there and most people are working remotely anyway, so they move to some more affordable places and work remotely.
Did you need any sort of permission?
I casually went there and took these shots and nobody stopped me. I don't know if you need any sort of permit or not. Maybe you have to get a permit, so don't follow my lead.
One good strategy is to fly the drone from outside the campus. This way nobody will ask you for any permit. I try to do this most of the time.
