Canibus 3-0 same here cuzzy, they been going downhill for a while but this battle was pure 🔥 crowd was on point and even Eurgh seemed hype and excited.

BA is pretty sick! If he can edit out the trash joking he'd be hard ! Tony won this 2-1 1st and 2nd pretty comfortably, last round from BA was rock solid though ! Soul would absolutely demolish him but Gemini would need London crowd to win it... Good battle though don't really see how anyone has BA winning this battle though? Can anyone explain which rounds and why ? I can't see him winning 1 and 2 in anyone's mind ???
Disagree bro. I rate Tony highly - always have, always will. But Respek came that little bit harder. His second round in particular was sensational. Harder, more memorable punchlines delivered with conviction. Speaking as someone who was in the room, the general consensus is that Respek won 2-1.
Commenters here tryna belittle Respek BA for having 'simpler punchlines'. Just because he has a blunter style than Tony, doesn't make him any less impressive. His writing was clean as a whistle in this battle - solid punchlines and they were delivered with absolute conviction. Tony's the man - I think he wins most battles, but Respek got him 2-1 here, let's be real.
Thats what I mis about battle rap from the Jump Off street battles and early DF stuff, simple, effective,funny punchlines and bars - seems like there's too much emphasis now on overly complex "deep" bars

I've been watching battle rap since Jumpoff days, honestly its fallen off so hard in recent years when people are spitting generic bars that can apply to anyone.

I don't think people understand this is two different styles at play... Respek Ba has very basic rhymes that hit the crowd because of how disrespectful they are (this is not a dis, his bars are fire) where as tony doesn't try to appeal to that. He has lengthy imaginative bars that reach to a crowd and if you get them you get them and you think shitttt that's mad but if you don't you don't. Tony isn't trying to be something he's not by copying a style many adopt. Anyway this is a great showcase of two different styles and its not judged for a reason because some will appreciate one style and others another so if your saying either battler in this battle is wack your just naïve and can't appreciate what both are doing. SMH at these comments.
Sorry but how the fuck are BA's rhymes basic?? Tony's rhymes are good for a track but not in a battle against a true battler. He spend too much time trying to look clever rather than immediately going for the kill.......might appeal to you obsessive battle nerds but us normal people get bored listening. Guys like BA bring the competitive feel back to battle rap lad.

Respek Ba is the perfect example of a traditional effective battle rapper who hasn't been to influenced by the scene so he's more organic he's like old Tenchoo he's smart and rips his opponent apart in a simple but funny/brutal way, Tony D is mad nice as always but he's styles like capoeira all this extra shit just for a punch Ba on the other hand just knee's he's opponent in the head over and over again!
Respek 2-1. Tony came hard all three rounds but not the absolute best I've seen from him. Also he ironically spat 3 rounds and lost. Nice to watch an enjoyable battle though!!

This is my first time seeing Respek BA, can't wait to see him in more shit.
The Christmas light is one of the best lines I've ever heard, and Respek BA is the biggest throwback to when I first watched DF when it started, simple punches but so beautifully put together it connects without the need for 4 bar set ups. Tony D did his thing and was absolute gentleman throughout laughing with the Scottish fans!
