It's a technique called "Pinch Harmonics". Move your thumb closer to the edge of the pick. So, when you pluck the string, the edge of your thumb immediately come into contact with the string. You also have to find the "sweet spot" on your guitar where you have to pluck the string and execute this technique (whether it is closer to the neck or to the bridge).
