I can taste the smugness, Starscream must have been preparing this speech as soon as he heard about the trial.
Before the trial? I wouldn't be surprised if Starscream's been preparing this speech for a millennia

XD lol This is one of the reasons I love Starscream. My favorite "Better than Megatron" moments was his concern for the Space-Time Continuum on Dinobot Island. He told Megatron there was something going on, but he just smacked Starscream. WTF, Megatron?!

We're looking at a Starscream at his best. As a military commander he's hilariously incompetent. but as a word smith, he is a master of twisting the truth through sentiment and little unproveable lies into an unbeatable advantage. Starscream is a master orator.
In other words, he’s a perfect politician.

Starscream started out as a scientist and then got a job with a politician. It is no wonder that he lacks military ability.
Generally, Megatron has greater military coordination skills, while Starscream has a more political/diplomatic approach. We rarely see the latter take precedent, which is what makes this story so surprising.

This is Starscream's revenge for the "spotlight Megatron" comic. Now that their positions are reversed he's basically saying back to Megatron everything that was said to him.
That was the most eloquent roasting of a man's character I've ever heard. He verbally got revenge for centuries of being his door mat. That was nothing more than starscream humiliating megatron through words and stripping him.of pride. Damn

To be fair, Starscream _was_ getting off-topic just to paint himself in a sympathetic light. Once he focused on the accused, everybody just listened.

Starscream really does know Megatron better than anyone.
Starscream knows that Megatron would rather go out being thought of the revolutionary that fought and died for the dream, than allowed to live on being considered a shortsighted over ambitious anarchist, who gaslighted his troops into believing in a pipe dream and was always doomed to fail miserably.
As the final laser in the Decepticon crypt, the one person that Megatron has always known who wanted him dead more anyone else is now asking for him to be allowed to live.
The ultimate revenge for Starscream.

It says a lot about how far Megatron has come that he did not smash his way through every one in his way and seperate Starscreams head from his body for his testimony lol.
Richard Weatherly- I love the fact that the first few panels of him just see him fuming with rage, until the final few images of him just almost portray him as reluctantly realising Starscream was right. His "Revolution" went so far of the track of it's original purpose that it degenerated into a 4 Million year slaughter and even Post War, they're still having to deal with the aftermath of his decisions, like the DJD.

Even if Megatron realized Starscream was right, we all know he was thinking of all the ways he'd punish Starscream if he ever got the chance.
Until he's finished with his journey with the crew of the Lost Light and is willing to accept any punishment willingly.
By that point, I bet what Megatron would've wanted most was yo meet Starscream and sincerely apologize for everything he's put him through. _(though I don't remember if Starscream was already dead by that point, at which case it would be one hell of a gut punch for Megs)_
@@MrDibara and that was after Megatron spotlight. Where he had humiliated and destroyed any self-esteem that Starscream had, besides tearing the poor guy's face apart. Starscream came with blood in his eyes to take revenge for every humiliation, abuse and insult that Megatron caused him during the millions of years that they were in that war, and where Starscream was his personal punching bag. Starscream, upon seeing that he could be a witness in Megatron's trial, must have thought: "I'VE WAITED MY *FUCKING. WHOLE. LIFE .* FOR THIS MOMENT"

The shocking thing about this entire sequence is that you cannot even deny everything that Starscream said. I would say it’s exaggeration….but at the same time it’s not really that far from the truth since Megatron‘s former reputation as being a ruthless leader of the Deceptacon’s
THAT WAS THE SINGLEHANDEDLY MOST HARSH ROASTING TO EVER EXIST; Starscream roasted and shrank Megs down to his actual size with brutal honesty, and sass, that Megatron needed all his self pity and spite to work together to keep him live. XD 😂🤣

Fuck, after everything, Starscream asks that Megatron does NOT get executed, albeit while roasting the hell outta him.

And then Megatron proceeded to flip the bird to the entire justice system, escaped both imprisonment and execution, became the captain of his own ship, befriended the orator for the defense, and accomplished more than Starscream ever did (on top of everything he had done previously), all because he called the most brilliant person in Cybertron's history, of average intelligent. As Ravage said, "he always 10 steps ahead in every direction."
Well that was the new Megatron. One that was not obssessed with conquering the universe.
in that case... Starscream was at least right about Megs ambition surpassing his abilities. I mean... emperor of the galaxy is about as ambitious as you can get.
The way Megs planned the moment when he finished off Tarn implies he did exactly what a real AI would do. Conquering the galaxy and purifying it of organics would be too ambitious for a human, but for an AI it would be just obeying the laws of physics. He's not of average intelligence, he's just being a totally normal Terminator. Whereas Starscream really just wants to be super popular and loved by everyone, the biggest celebrity of the galaxy and turn Cybertron into one giant Studio 54.

Honestly, he never flipped the justice system. He was abiding by it, but just found a loophole to live a little more as a free bot until he managed to return something to the Universe he had wounded so deeply with such a massive, unhinged war. At the end of LL, Megatron accepted that whatever awaited him after the trial, it was not enough. For him, *_No punishment would ever be enough_*
I know the whole thing about Starscream is being an oportunist, but in this case particularly you know, you just know this was a "the window's open lets dive in" situation, he probably has been waiting 4 million years to deliver this speech.

Yes, he needed it. After everything Megatron and Ten went through, Starscream decided to give back a little. Starscream didn't roast Megatron... HE ROASTED HIM UNTIL HE WAS COMPLETELY BURNED, he roasted him until he turned to ash.

The only time I acually had respect for Starscream
This is the second time I respected stars scream (the first was for armada starscream ).
That time he razed the senate at his own trial, that time he was actually a good boss and saved the coneheads, that time he took out Slug while being cornered by Autobots and later charged into Metroplex’s head looking glorious in the Armada body and holding two flaming swords (no idea where these came from but they were cool), that time he shot a Titan to save Windblade, that other time he shot a titan to save WB, that time he changed his election speech, that time Optimus was his payload, that time he worked his diplomatic charms and turned the Insecticons to his side, and most of all that time he carried a barely functional Megs from the battlefield (although it was kinda undermined later).
......I just want a competent Starscream and not the more common “I put my complete trust in Bludgeon” (I’m okay with him tripping over his own ego and schemes, but there’s a fair distance between head of the Seekers and Swindle).
Also jet fights are cool.

Starscream had like five minutes to get back at him after all that suffering, especially after what we saw in the spotlight megatron chapter, so i can't blame him XD. it just worked against him.

This is an excellent view of Megatron, but it makes it all the better for Megatron when he changes his plea and finds his loophole to escape sentence and Starscream loses his shit that Megatron actually might get away with his life
You can tell by now he says it, this is starscream getting his own back for everything Megatron did to his, and you can tell how satisfying it is for him to say all this, with zero repercussions.
I'm consider this to be an alternative Universe to the Starscream Armada

It drove Megatron into trying to leave behind a better legacy than... _everything that Starscream laid out._ And consequently, led to Megatron's true redemption and the ultimate salvation of all, including in another dimension.
Megatron was simply willing to accept execution here and leave it at that.
Starscream's speech spurred him to do great deeds of good and ultimatelly even save everyone. Good going, Starscream! 👍

Starscream defected to run for ruler and the NAILs basically thought he was the best person for the job after he killed Metalhawk and made it look like he was killed in the decepticon attack, the nails are idiots so they were easy to convince the Autobots and the decepticons knew better though, even wheeljack who was closest thing Scream had to a friend knew he couldn’t entirely trust him, either way it all eventually comes back to bite him
