I've done this many times for my wife. After I found out how much it costs at the salon I was like "I can do it for you". So now we turn over $100 trip to the salon to a $15-$20 box of hair dye and maybe 20mins of my time. I also trim her hair as well...may be uneven at some points but she has so much hair you can't tell LOL

I know that feeling, Gabie when you first dye your hair darker. It’s kind of a shock and I always question “is it too dark?!” But I agree with Josh - I think that color looks great on you! I’m Korean too and have naturally dark hair and when I used to dye my hair lighter I used to always get a reddish/orangey hair that Asian hair always seem to turn no matter what color I get dyed professionally at the salon. After so many years of getting it colored and color corrected, I decided to leave it low maintenance and natural brown.

When you leave hair dye in for longer than intended, the colour darkens rather than lasts longer
Hannah Frink it depends on the dye. Most permanent dye just stops processing after a certain period of time.
Teach him how to section the hair before he does your hair again. That’s why it came out spotty, but honestly I don’t think it looks bad. Considering his haphazard way of applying the dye, it looks great. I was worried for you while I watched him do it. Also, maybe two boxes of dye since your hair is so long. I have long hair too, and I need two boxes lol

hahahahah! this was so entertaining. Man I have been dying my hair at home for almost 10 years! It's so cumbersome! Josh is so funny and great sport for doing this. He adores you as a husband should and didn't complain. I like how he compared the process to food mustard on a hot dog or cameral sauce on ice cream. He did a great job Gabbie and the color looks great! You guys are such a fun couple!

Next time use vaseline around the hairline so you don't dye the skin and a coloring brush/comb to help spread it, but pretty good job regardless.
