I was at a hobby shop one time and a guy was buying an rc for himself. His young son was drooling over the SCX24s but left empty handed. I had a Panda Hobby Power Wagon in my Luggage with me with one run on it. I invited them to my truck and showed it to the boy. He really liked it. When he tried to hand it back to me, I told him I didn't want his truck. The look on his face when he realized I had just given it to him was well worth the price of the rig, and he didn't go home empty handed

But, Im not a year yet into it, and Im still so partial to every one of my RCs , 2-24s to start (how I found your channel) 4-10/ths, and am not yet ready to let go of any. Lol. But, I bought my nephew one, and want to get my sons into em and get them one (both young adults). What a glorious addiction!

A few years ago, my family and I relocated to a new town. We are in a low income complex. There are a couple of neighbour boys(10 and 8) that would get New Bright RC cars for Christmas every year. These things would be broken within the week. They would be so disappointed. I would try and fix them, but after a while they would be beyond repair.
I came into some unexpected money, and decided first thing, I was going to get them real RC's.
Looking around, I decided on the 550Mega brushed line from Arrma, something they can grow into. I got them a Senton and a Typhon, and myself the Granite.
When we took them over, there were smiles for miles.
That was just over a year ago, and they are still loving them.

My sister was struggling with getting my nephew potty trained and he really liked his older brothers rc so I had en epiphany. I had a chat with him and told him that if he went 2 weeks without an accident that we would go down to the lhs and get him his own rc. After a few weeks of trial and error, he and I went down to the shop and picked out his very own rc, you should have seen the smiles

Growing up I never had the resources to pursue this hobby. My girlfriend gifted me my first RC after she found out how much I loved tinkering with, playing with RC toys and watching YT videos on it. My life has changed since then. Every time I look at a trail, a pile of rocks, a water body, the skate park or just the open road! I think of which RC I can play with here. I have recently started my YT channel to share my passion with others. It has been therapeutic and has boosted my self esteem. It has brought immense joy to me and helped me make friends within the community. I have been thinking about giving away one of my RCs to some one to change their life as well. I am super inspired by your video today and am going to giveaway to someone deserving soon. Thanks for sharing your story brother and inspiring me 🙏🙌

He said nothing why I said I have never seen the trunk of a Honda before. He opened the trunk and I put the truck in and my son put the controller in and we said we hope you enjoy the hobby. I thought he was going to cry his eyes wailed up a bit he didn't know what to say ... Then gave me a hug and thanked my son for the gift . Then at work the next day I gave him a charger an extra battery and a brand new body. Man it felt good to make his day.

I have given a number of Rc's away, but the best so far was giving an ecx 2wd torment to a kid at church. His dad had nitro vehicles that scared the little guy, so I thought a nice easy to run 2wd would be a help to get him over the fear of rc's...and I was right, LOL! He loves the truck and is always asking his dad to charge it up so they can go play. The best thing was when I gave it to him, his eyes got so big, and he got so excited he started to shake, lol!!

Just bought myself my first scale truck (CrossRC Demon SP4C kit) . Still in the mail. A present to myself. Been watching you for years and always wanted to build a kit. I finally bit the bullet. The only other RCs I have are SCT (for me) and Monster truck (for my daughter), both ECX (tight budget) . So haven't had the chance yet to share the love yet (if you don't count my daughter, who was besides herself when she opened hers). If she likes the scale truck, I will likely buy her one (also a kit so I can have the fun of building it).

Simple and basic is often the ball. You just go outside and focus on having fun without having to think about all the bells and whistles. Car, wheels, throttle steering, you are set to have a lot of fun. And indeed that's a sick looking truck. No worries about the front axle not being a yota axle, the Hilux is IFS anyway from factory, so that's obviously a modded one.
If you want to make it to crawl slower you can always put a brushed motor in. Works a treat and again simple! But it's working quite good with the current setup so might as well keep it like that if it works for the kind of terrain you have. Enjoy trailing with your new friends mate.

Awesome i had a 1983 toyota 4x4 pickup looked like this but mine was grey and yes i took it thru every swamp, woods, rivers, lakes etc..... it had 33 inch super swamper mud tires that sounded like flying in ww2 b52 bomber on the highway. i loved and miss that truck.

I was flying my gliders at my local site when an elderly gent came up with his grandson he was raising and asked about my gliders and the cost as he was interested in getting back into the hobby for himself and to bring his grandson into this great hobby of rc. they had been to the hobby stores around us and said that they only had cars but was not interested in them he said to expensive when you brake them and for an 8 year old i agreed. He asked did i know anyone selling a glider, one at reasonable price but I did not. I went back to flying and was doing some aerobatics with a full house 2 meter glider and the young feller was so excited I landed this glider and picked up my 2 channel 2 meter that i originally leant to fly with a slow easy to fly glider that was on a old futaba 4 channel 36 mhz Tx I asked the young man if he would like to try and fly the glider and he said yes so i landed and got the second Tx and buddy cable i use for just this training someone to fly or give a noob a chance to fly but not have to worry about them loosing control and crashing. After flying about 10 minutes he was flying by himself but i landed the glider. to get to the point I gave him the glider and the Tx and associated batteries and said I will teach him to fly if his granddad drought him to the slope. 4 weeks latter he was launching and landing by himself. Not only gave him a smile a mile wide but me to, this was 12 years ago. Thank you for jogging my memory i had forgotten all about this.

I gave away my fg marder to one of my neighbours so him and his son's could have some quality time. Ten years later I'm just getting back into the hobby building 1/10 rally cross cars out of the budget wltoys cars and this week I just ordered my first ever crawler the FTX TEXAN (in green of course) , not exactly a competition winner I know but a decentish trail truck with some potential to work on later. Great channel and attitude buddy I love it...chooch it !👍

Like that color my friend. How are you liking the pro? Is it head and shoulders above the regular NB4? THANKS for sharing. 👍
