Gage GoSkate, its more he just learnt how to mask. (Basically nasal singing). Its much less taxing on your voice but lacks the power. Personally ur completely right. Masking I dont feel suits the older stuff as well. U do need the power. However, it does provide less strain on his voice and allows him to sing for longer, so its not all bad.
