Thanks. Just put on a deposit for 2021 e53 AMG cabriolet. More masculine and extra power. The price touches 3 figures - a lot but cross shopping between 840/e53 - e53 has rear usable seats for my kids and interior is better. Also ride is quieter with top up.
Kevin I have to tell you. I have an earlier version of this car and it is the best daily driver. Having a practical convertible is beyond comparison. My mom has an E wagon, we are Italian lol that geeks
dude this car is sick.. I've always wanted an E class even going back to the 2012 - 2016 E550 cabrio with the v8. I don't even care that the interior or that one looks old with the number pad.
You're 100% correct about this appealing to a tech junkie. MB has always been an innovative brand. I just looked at the MB site and they've gone inline-6 across the board. Great pick with the cabriolet. It has nice body lines and looks great with the right wheels.
Yea love how they adopted the inline 6 that's great although their base offering is still a 4 cylinder which is unfortunate but is what it is. They are def almost always ahead of the game for sure!
I've been buying certified pre-owned for years and that is the smartest way to buy if you plan to keep the car for a while. Bought my 2019 E450 Coupe last summer - 1200 miles, $11K off the sticker, and a much better warranty.
Thanks for the review. This car is on my shortlist to replace my A5 in a couple of years and I'm looking for a great GT car. It may sound crazy, but it's between this and the LC500. My main feedback on the review is I would have appreciated more compare/contrast with its competition. You did that reasonably well with the S class, but not really with the others IMO.
Yea unfortunately I haven't driven much of the competition haha 😅 my access is limited but I'm trying my best to get newer kinds of cars on the channel
@@absidyabsidy2727 The LC has far too many compromises. It's the perfect example of form over function. The inability to have a spare tire makes it completely unsuitable for long road trips, the true purpose of a GT car IMO. I can at least get a spare aftermarket for the MB.
My one gripe is the belt line is really high, meaning that on the side profile, the driver and occupants look tiny. If you have a look at the press materials, they avoid showing that profile.
it makes it look kinda muscular though no? C class coupe looks like it doesnt have shoulders like it only works out in the front and forgot about leg day
@@pramey it only looks good when it's on its own. When one of these things drives by and you can only see the head of the driver on side view, you won't be able to unsee it.
So I personally think the E450 has more character and a substantial luxury car feel. M440i will lack some character compared to the benz but it's def a rocket and rides good with adaptive dampers and the tech is more "traditional" or easier to use. Up to you on what you prefer my friend but personally I would pick the benz just love how it looks and drives
As a previous C class Estate owner I wouldn't buy a three pronged suppository here in Australia as they way they are shitting on their customers when things go wrong is totally unacceptable!
I do remember you saying that man that is so unfortunate. Thankfully the luxury car dealers take care of consumers here in the states but like always, not all dealers are created and managed equally.
@@MeynMotorGroup I was very fortunate that the dealer that looked after my car whilst I had it actually looked after their customers, even though I never purchased it from them, the fact it was a Merc being looked after by a Merc dealer was good enough for them, so full points to them!
Mercedes infotainment have always had a pretty steep learning curve imo, but after that it's relatively easy. I haven't used MBUX yet, but COMAND on the previous cars was very quirky as well.
The tester you had was that with the stock 18 inch wheels and without the air suspension? I’m looking at this I don’t know if it needs the air suspension or not. Without it I’m gonna go with smaller wheels for a better ride
I think e63 s wagon is probably the best daily you can get over here, the panamera is a contender as well. Any plans on getting to review a panamera sport turismo?
Yea he'll def point out some random stuff and some of it is just the typical face value stuff. I dont mind that I just wish some of these reviewers would drive the car more
Back-end is gorgeous, front is eh. Hate convertibles and the side profile. Agree that the powerplant is more than enough. Interior and tech are amazing, but even if I made $200k/year I wouldn't be able to justify a daily with that price; I think my top would be $55ish. But, ya know, different strokes.
Oh man if you made 200 u can def buy something like this especially on lease so then the MSRP won't matter as much. But def different strokes for different folks lol appreciate you watching my friend
Yo Kevin what do you think of measuring the ground clearance of the cars that you review? Just a suggestion, I find it useful, as it does matter in the real world. Cheers
Yea it's def an important one that I keep leaving out, I mentioned it for a few cars like the LC because it had a 5.1" ground clearance because that's like mid size car clearance and nobody really talks about that. I'll def try to remember and mention it!
So the C class does look good but I will admit the E class range of vehicles is noticeably a higher quality vehicle. Definitely sit in both and see if you like it. But C class is a comfortable vehicle
Great review yet again, this car is what Carmela Soprano would have treated herself to if she had managed to follow through with her divorce proceedings 🤣
I would still try to drive it even though I most likely couldn’t fit and driving with the seat all the way back wouldn’t be able to enjoy it much bro lol
@@MeynMotorGroup So many cars have fake vents where foglights are normally placed on higher trims. I'm so use to vents being fake and cheap that even real vents look cheap. I have seen a few nissans that look liek they have foglights made next to a vent. Not sure of it real or not. But I think more vehicles that have real vents need to have foglights as well. Especially luxury brands.

Still have E53 cabriolet?
Thanks for the review this is why Benz will stay at the top . They set the tone by bringing innovation and everyone else follow their lead
Yes this is true they are the innovators amongst car brands
Just bought one. Freaking excited.
I do not know why am I watching this while owning a 2021 AMG A45S... Great narration!

You forgot to show the wind blockers at the back and top of the car which kills the wind sound with the windows down...
rather have a certified pre owned s coupe instead of this honestly
I would too but not everyone wants to play the used car game and take chances. Leasing new is always the best experience
