I've skied for 35 yrs. Starting wakenoearding in the early 90s. Followed the trend, taught my twin daughters wakeboarding before kindergarten. My girls saw some old pics of me on the slalom course. I brought back out the old HO extreme. They were mesmerized. That's a great word to describe the art of coming off a turn, accelerating to 50mph. I thought back over all the years & thought of the hundreds of spectators, & they all got out of the boat with that look on their face. Wake boarding doesn't produce the same affect. Very few sports do. Just something about it.
Wow! Just found this! I skied as a 9 yr old in 1965? Anyway my brother and sister-in-law one ski, trick skied, and barefoot skied. They were there 15 years older than me every single tuesday after school and all weekend. Sarasota😊 It probably helped me more than and I know. My father died at age 9 with chronic ms...remember the 50s that is when he was diagnosed. I have water skied in my 20s but i seriously wonder if i still can because i really have and have had that urge! Too expensive to go anywhere here. In Tampa we had the team which i had plan to begin going 2019 and now on their website says no more!!! Damn. I need this in my life!
