A beautiful tune in DDAD tuning. Joined by the current Weizer old time fiddle contest Champion, Katrina Nicolayeff. She was about to teach this tune to her class at the Montana Fiddle camp.
Was she cross tuned for this ? Doesn’t sound like it. Maybe she just doesn’t drone as much as Benny and other old timers. Amazing fiddler. Has won everything at least once.
Isaac, hmm interesting. It's consistently really low volume for me on most of your videos. Some (this one in particular) I can hardly hear. I've tested other videos back-to-back and it's not a device issue. You may want to check when you are exporting the videos with the audio peaking near -10 to -5.
