Collins 51J-4 HF Receiver

I have one of this 51J-4 receiver. I have found it in a metal scrap yard several years ago sitting on a pile of scrap metals and it was amazing that it was intact. Seems the guy who unloaded the receiver did it with great respect ! I have also an RCA AR-88, a BC-1004, an HRO but this Collins receiver is the king.

Thanks Peter for another well done video. I have a 51J4 as well and I use it on CW from time to time. It actually does a decent job with fairly weak signals. And the appearance of the 51J is not too shabby. Hi

I have one of those at home and I honestly do not know what to do with it. I bought it from the swiss army and it is pretty much unused/NOS. Do you have any idea how much they are worth today?
