Lucifer: Tom Ellis and Lauren German REACT to Series Finale

- SPOILERS. Tom Ellis and Lauren German break down the series finale of ‘Lucifer’ and share their thoughts on where Chloe and Lucifer ended up in a new interview with ET’s Katie Krause. The pair talk about their on-screen daughter, Rory, and reveal what it was like filming their final scene together. The sixth and final season of ‘Lucifer’ is now streaming on Netflix.
The ending hurt. It HURT. I can never look at their previous piano scenes the same way because their goodbye KILLED me. But it made so much sense, it was right. Chloe would never sacrifice her mortality for her girls, and Lucifer would never go down to help the lost souls if Rory hadn’t made him promise. Their sacrifice was bittersweet but it made sense. It gave Chloe peace to live out her remaining days without Lucifer because she knew she’ll end up with him. It was the ending they all deserved. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
😭😭😭 i cried for straight 5 hours
poor chloe 20+yrs without devil sex....
I just finished it about 10 minutes ago I’m balling crying like why😭😭

@@SandhuNation7 dude when i was watching ep09 i swear my eyer were tearing up almost every time lucifer said goodbye to each friend of his. shit was so emotional i couldn't handle it
Lauren looked so prepared and Tom looked like he just woke up and forgot about that interview 🤣
very fitting for their characters lmao
One lives where?
You do realize that's just Lucifer playing the role of tom ellis right? His performance is on point making us think he's just a regular human actor, expect nothing less from the king of hell himself!
Haha, really? I found intellectually it was the opposite, via their responses.
True Lauren even managed to find a banana to put on top of her head as a wig so classy
Amendiel's fist punch when Charlie's wings appeared was so funny, Linda's face was amazing 😁👌
ngl i was like Linda, totally shocked lol
Easily one of the best scenes of the season. Amenidael's reaction to Chucky's wings.
I knew that he would get his wings because Lucifer and Chloe essentially did make a half human half angel so it was obvious that he was gonna get his wings
Loved that

I cried when Dan was talking to Trixie. It was so nice!
i am too
I just watched it and I broke down😂😭

I know right!! I cried like a big boy so much, I felt better after though :,,,/
Same! I cried a lot. But it was happy tears
I honestly have never cried this much watching a TV show as this last season and particularly the final episode. Man.
They really stuck the landing.
It was a GREAT finale. Every important character arc reached its end. No loose ends. Congratulations to the writers, cast and directors, because ending a big series while being that conclusive and confident is something difficult.
not with trixie
@@regentpuppies49 i meant they didnt show up trixie when chloe was in her deathbed
@@RagTimeRage yeah I noticed that too!! Don't understand why they didn't show Trixie

it was so good, never cried more than when i finished this show i swear
Same here, when the lucifer's daughter was going back to the future that was the most sad part...😭😭😭

As much as I love this show all good things must come to an end. This show has changed my life and I thank well Amenagod for that. Thank you Netflix.
I discovered this show last year right before the pandemic started. I got laid off for a couple of months and this show was my go-to if I needed a laugh. I'm so sad that the show has ended.
It’s the only show that I felt was good all the way through. Lucifer will forever be my favorite show
@Dominant Domination Well besides that it wasn't too horrible. Fox did better all around but it was still more Lucifer screentime so I enjoyed it.
@Dominant Domination It only really annoyed me when Adam was vilified.
I will miss this cast family, they have such amazing on-screen chemistry and off-screen chemistry as well,
It is safe to say I will be rewatching this series for a very long time ❤️ love you guys.
Watching it again 3time lu v
watched it recently? lol
Hate that the show came to an end, but the finale was immensely satisfying. Tons of closure and everyone reached the pinnacle of their character arcs. About the best you could have asked for.
anyone get very, very happy when they saw charlies wings and Linda’s face? 😂

I cried for the last three episodes. It was really heartbreaking. The story ended beautifully that it made me cry so hard. Their love is incomparable. It was really amazing. No mushiness but just pure love. Sacrifices and all. I love all the Lucifer's cast so much that I thought it helped me cope with this pandemic.
Wow thanks much for your love And great support
I know there are some people who hated the ending but I loved it for the reasons they explained here. So many shows change the person to make a relationship work.. Like turning a mortal immortal and vice versa. why can't they just be as they are and still love each other? Chloe knew that when she died, she could just ask to be with Lucifer since Amenadiel is now God. She got to live her life and got be with Lucifer as his partner for all eternity. Perfect ending honestly. This show was always about Lucifer and his growth as a person. He became truly selfless in the end and now helps others.
@Jess Ronan-Cooper 08 Agreed. It wrapped everything up nicely for me. I just saw some people complaining on social media because they wanted a different end for Chloe and Lucifer. I think it was fitting.
Just binge this all, no better ending like this. Mind blowing, rationale, no spoiler is really the spoiler. They're doing the great job. Really, bitter sweet moment.. i was thinking about how this is end, but this very rational... well i still wonder why in Rory's world he can't go back and forth from hell to earth to look chloe and his child,, but well if he do that, that would be no excuse for Rory tho, and season 6 will be not shocking
Do you know why he can't go back and forth between hell to earth ? By this i mean in Rory's world, not the time after she comes to present time
@@ferrismaximillano1556 He probably could honestly but I think the point is that there are people going to hell daily and that means he's trying to help all the deserving people break their hell loop. He also made Rory a promise to not change anything and we all know he's a devil of his word.
exactly this ending was perfect yes the time travel plot was a little muddled but they always tend to be because time travel is a weird subject in general but it was handled very well and the ending was so satisfying everyone got what they deserved and it subverted expectations in ways that still worked.
I just binged them entire show in the last week. I can’t say how much I love this show. I typically don’t like slow-burn romances but I LOVE Deckerstar. They are perfect together. And the supporting characters were phenomenally played. DB, Leslea, etc. But Tom and Lauren played their parts to perfection. What they brought to the story, the “vulnerability” thing, the humor, the epic epic romance, the depth, it’s just amazing. I am so glad they did season 6. It made me bawl every time one of the characters got their happy ending, and the Rory storyline was beautiful. I loved that we got to see that side of Chloe and Lucifer, as parents. And the final two episodes-oh boy, I have never cried so much over a show in my life. It was beautiful, to quote Tom, “bittersweet”, emotional, cathartic, nostalgic, and just PERFECT. The dance to “Unchained Melody” got me crying so hard, and then the piano moments in the last episode. And then when they played the first note of “Welcome to the Black Parade”, I lost it all over again. One of my absolute favorite songs of all time, to that scene. I LOVED LOVED LOVED this show and the last scene. It made all the emotions worth it. Thank you to Tom, Lauren, DB, and the rest of the cast for bringing my new favorite story to life and pouring your heart and soul into it. This take you have told will live in the fans hearts, and mine, forever.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

When Lucifer touched the piano for the last time in Lux that literally gave me chills and the feels of Aw shit it really is the last moment of this.. But if you think about it, The ending of Lucifer is EXACTLY like the ending of Supernatural. Overall an amazing ending to a great series. I will always love this series and the cast. Bravo to the fans for picking up Lucifer to follow onto Netflix too.
Bravo to the wonderful Cast. You did a tremendous job. Great fun story. Loved Tom’s wittiness. Ella was so cute and funny too. All of you just did a great job. I loved that there was no Peyton place in it. Just hate backstabbing series story’s. This was fun. We giggled the whole time. We loved each of the actors. Maeve was funny too. Thank you all. Good luck to anything else you do. I vote for Tom Ellis to be the new James Bond.
Not exactly like Supernatural ending...because Lucifer going to hell for the greatest purpose of his existence is complete opposite of the stupidest death of Dean after everything he's been through to go the way he did is ridiculous!
@@za4arovashka Yeah actually I have to agree with that.
All true but I was too sad about the reason for the scene to appreciate what has to be one of the best depictions of love and loss ever.
this was legit the best. series. ever.
great series but i can't agree with that when Breaking Bad exists
@@avner3176 prison break better
The whole Cast did an awesome job. Tom Ellis made us laugh with his off the wall silliness. Loved his singing and piano music. He must have a wonderful mom to teach him.
@@avner3176 Breaking Bad was an amazing show, and superior in nearly every way. But the emotional impact of this one is different. Breaking Bad's emotional impact never had this kind of catharsis. It didn't even come close.
@@eliteteamkiller319 i wouldnt agree with your opinion. And btw. You are actually talking more about romance, and Breaking Bad is not that so its crazy to compare it. But. There is one show where we can see that emotional impact, and that is Outlander. Not any freakin show cant compare with its main protagonists Jamie and Claire. Lucifer is great series, but to me not even close to Outlander, especially when we are going to compare emotional side of shows. Having that on mind, Outlander is out of this Space.
It’s feels so nostalgic when lucifer said “hello detective” at the end 😭
This show had no right to make me feel as hard as it did. I cried so hard I couldn't breathe.

FANTASTIC ENDING!!!! Cried for most of episode 9 and 10. Just great. Rory was a great addition to the series. Some fantastic cinematography too. Some scenes were breathtaking and LOVED the fighting scenes. Chloe's white out screen was also brill. Loved it ALL. ❤️👏👏👏

omg they both loved theirs characters so much, it's so lovely
This is a real example of how beautiful human mind can be. Thank you so much it's changed life .🏆
My thoughts exactly a "Lucifer movie". Only if the writing is as great ! This show was so so good . Season 6 went way beyond expectations, truly outstanding. Like a true fan I started tearing up in episodes 5 then calm down but just kept tearing up as the episodes passed. Then came 10 I had to rewind ever scene due to my emotions and blurry vision. Lauren and Tom were incredible they just have such a relaxed vibe about them. You know everything is going to be alright. Looking back Lauren character was so uptight and by the book and Lucifer was so loose, careless and flip it . This show had such great humor played so well by Lucifer ( Tom Ellis )
Satisfying and remarkable ending to a great great show . The whole cast was outstanding. Thank God for netflix and season 6.
I cried so many times during the last two episodes. It was wonderful. The love was palpable.
bittersweet ending ,but from writing prespective totally makes sense as the actors expain.Thank you guys and netflix only reason i subscibe for 1 year is that you saved this show and show my appreciation to the producers.Lucifer back to hell me back to piracy :P
The season finale was AWESOME! So much feels 😭❤️ i love their character development! And Ella.. gosh never underestimate her character!
I thought it was a fantastic ending to the series. I wish more shows had endings this satisfying.
Loved loved it!! The writers were absolutely brilliant minded!! Great ending!! All the actors deserve an Emmy
Yes. Give these people an Emmy. Best show ever.
Why haven't we seen more rewards for this show. The writing, directing, and lighting was the best I have ever seen and going back to movie theaters made me notice the quality even more.
I would have preferred luci staying around to raise his child with chloe and than leaving with her to hell but It was still a good ending
fr
It showed his whole character arc from being so selfish and then making the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good!
I think it was very strange that he couldn’t go up every few weeks to see his daughter like we see Amenadiel do with his son. I get that he made a promise, but it was a very stupid promise that Rory should not have asked of him. Besides, why didn’t he do it in the original timeline (before Rory went back in time)? What held him back from going up and seeing his family?!
@@lizaarkhipchenko my exact point that is the only problem that I have with the ending its as if lucifer ended up getting gods ending where he left his kid for years and then spent eternity with his wife, I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree

I'm so glad they got to finish with the sixth and final episodes. Just finished this season and what can I say I'm a blubbering mess but I'm soooooo happy and satisfied with how everyone involved dealt with closing the show. It could not be more perfect so thankyou Tom and Lauren et al for a wonderful ride for the past 5 years. ❤❤❤❤

Seriously, fabulous drama. Never got so addicted with a drama that I must rewatch again after finished
I cried as soon as I heard “Welcome to the Black Parade” such a perfect moment for that song!! I loved it ❤️
Tom always says everything so beautifully (& I don't just mean the accent).
i started this series during last year's quarantine and I can honestly say it was the best decision ever. such a bittersweet goodbye to this show that have kept me so much company.
I cried through the whole finally, beautiful ending 😭
The last season was awesome makes me in tears and the ending was satisfying. I also felt the tear when Tom and Lauren said about the hug after the final cut on the show.. It must have been emotional.
I cried the whole season, and the previous one. I wonder why Trixie didn't get a goodbye from Maze and Lucifer though😭
Same!!
This show was so amazing and i absolutely adore the cast! Sad that it ended but it ended so well and was a very satisfying ending for this awesome show!! ❤
Loved the season, thought the finale was pretty perfect. I'm glad we got closure on all of the characters. I do have a complaint. Trixie. Aside from her scene saying goodbye to Dan (sweet scene), it was like she never existed. All we saw was Chloe, Lucifer and Rory as a family. No Trixie. Lucifer couldn't say his goodbyes to her as he did with the others? No one bothered to fill her in on the entire situation? She clearly suspected Lucifer was the devil based on the picture she drew of of the two of them together holding hands and Lucifer having a devil face. She wasn't by her mother's bedside when she died?
i was thinking the exact same thing why wasnt trixie at her deathbed and i feel that lucifer should have ended up as god and chloe went to heaven where her dad and dan charlotte ext. are . i also feel like he still could have lived a life with them on earth while they were alive as for the throne of hell i feel amenadiel should have took it so redeem hell as the healer therapist as he pretended too at the start of the show maybe could have been foreshadowed.
Ikr was it so hard to find a elderly cast for trixie and will she know abt her sister wings
Like now finally Ella knows but she still doesn’t know anything lolll
Chloe wasn't condemned to hell and Lucifer wasn't either any more so both can go to heaven to visit loved ones and congratulate those they helped redeem. I can see hell getting smaller and brighter as their work carries on and the demons drawing out the guilt and causes not to let the guilty get out of punishment but to let them face it and grow.
@@dolliscrawford280 I like that
Yeah I felt the same. Missed a lot of trixie.

Thank you so much to all the actors, their performances and their passion portraying their characters, making them compelling and make us care about them! Also the directors, the writers and the camera/photography was pretty much on point as well the choreographies well basically everything was far better than we expected. The show completely fulfilled my expectations and then had one of the best series finales I can honestly remember right now. We saw and felt the characters growing, changing, getting better and/or wiser, accepting their mistakes, forgiving themselves not only by regretting their sins but by actually actively trying to undo the damage caused and/or asking for forgiveness.
There are three things you can watch forever : fire burning, water falling, and Lauren German Smile

Bravo!!!!!! I thank them from the bottom of my heart for this beautiful show. I wasn't expecting it becoming so great, but everybody involved did a terrific job, and the ending was perfect (well, I wish a grown up Trixie were in that room with Rory when Chloe died, but aside from that it was perfect). I am definitely very satisfied with the ending, I won't even lie. Rarely do writers stick the landing with the ending of a show but with Lucifer, it was done so perfectly. No cliches, no overdoing it. I'm very happy with the ending.
At least from the guys perspective, what makes this show hit so hard is as you go through it, you fall in love with Chloe too... sure got me ugly crying... still hits you watching the season more than once. Thank you for a beautiful show, really is special. Just finished watching it again, man, that whole last episode...
"Her version of Heaven was in Hell"
I didn't see it that way. She became a classic Kwan Yin type of Bodisattva who gives up Heaven to console those suffering in the underworld. It was really the BEST possible conclusion to her story.
Yeah, besides, it would be devastating for me to think of Lucifer alone in hell while Chloe lives eternally in a fantasy, and that they did say goodbye forever in the piano scene. I just can't handle that thought. Bottom line: I agree with you: she gave up heaven to be in hell with her muff xD
Damn that quote alone is powerful 😮💨✨💯😤🔥
Can we appreciate lauren and toms acting throughout the series .
It is so unbelievably good .
The ending of this show was as good as ending of the original Charmed series. I think that the entire 6th season of Lucifer gave a similar vibe as the very last episode of Charmed in terms of closure. Just beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that Trixie was just left hanging.
I can't stop crying omg this was so good,i will miss them the fact that they highlight the devil to be a father and they haved a daughter, the piano scene in the last episode though can't stop cryin asf good job guys,i will miss y'all so muchhh
I have to say if you have not seen this season get the tissues on hand. I thought the writers did a fantastic job in this final season. The way they incorporated Rory and her story with Lucifer's was sensational. I thought Dan's storyline was superb, and the twist on his eternal home, was done well. I thought Amenadiel's story as a police officer could have turned bad, but they saved it. Along with West Wing and Burn Notice, now one of my go to series when ever I have nothing to watch.
I rarely cry in a show or movie, but damn. You got me TWICE in this last season
Just binge this all, no better ending like this. Mind blowing, rationale, no spoiler is really the spoiler. They're doing a very great job. Really, bitter sweet moment
What a satisfying ending to say the least! Extremely sad. So wholesome and fulfilling. The show was a massive success, the characters were all perfect and loveable. The ending was the ending we all wanted, it wasn't predictable, but still happily ever after. Bravo to the makers and actors. Not only was the show a complete fantasy, but it also gave the listeners great messages. Do good, work hard, life isn't easy or predictable and family is the most important thing. What a fantastic show! Thankyou very much X
