For those of us on the fence there are numerous atelier options such as Evolve or Art Masters Academy. Both affordable and provide feedback and community.
An MFA is specifically useful if you want to go into teaching art, especially at a collegiate level. Other than that, I’m not really sure if it’s PRACTICALLY something an artist needs to do to succeed in the art world. However, the educational benefit / artistic growth would potentially be worth it, depending on who you are, and could give you a leg up in the art world.
