    • @evilcanofdrpepper
      @evilcanofdrpepper 3 года назад +28

      Yeah, if he just casts a block of yellow resin and hits it with the right tools before it's 100% solid he would end up with what would look like shredded cheese but without any of the odd aging and discoloration issues. Hell if the timing is right it will have the consistency of cheese and he could even use a cheese grater to shred it. Has peter tried messing around with large bowls of resin before they are totally cured?

    I have a theory as to why the shreds changed color. Those discs are all burned. The purple ones are DVD-R and the green ones are CDR. The discs have a chemical coating on them that reacts with the heat of a laser to simulate the pits and lands that are on factory made discs. That's why it's called burning a cd, cause your drive laser is physically burning the information onto the disc. My theory is that the heat of the resin curing process pushed the dye far past the temperature it would have experienced under normal burning conditions, and changed the color from purple to red. Pretty rad!
