Super slick! Saw it in action last season and immediately knew I was gonna have to make one of these for the flip-over. Thanks for the step-by-step info. And congrats again on the incoming little one!
Thanks TJ! I’m definitely going to tape my mats together this year! Getting those mats have been a game changer for overnights in my two man flip over! ❤️🎣
Really appreciate you putting this video together. The tape was my main question. Going to save this video for rewatching. Doing the same as you. I have those same mats.
One other tip/suggestion you could do with the circular cutouts . Make a "hinge " out of the tape and hinge each one . That way, you have little to no chance of losing or misplacing them and can still do all the things you showed in the video ...Just a thought..
Great tips on floor... guess i know what I'm doing today...lol Congrats on the upcoming baby... i was just blessed with grandchild #12 six months ago (this sons first)... get ready buddy... #1 will demand a lot of your time... make sure to enjoy baby time as much as possible because it goes by quick (i have seven children...youngest is 18 in 2 months)... dont know where the time went... Stay safe out there and all the best to you, baby and wife ... From my really cold, slightly lob-sided, overtaxed, undersized igloo on the mountain in alberta Canada 🇨🇦 D.
Great video, do you drill through the mat holes to get everything lined up perfectly? Or is there another method to drill without getting the floor completely wet?
I show how I set it up in this video right here: ruclips.net/video/dYlf70qU1Mc/видео.htmlsi=PZOiv0TEGnf-EsD_ Basically just drill part way through then take the mat off
Do you auger right through the hole in the mat? Or do you Mark the holes on the ice then remove the mat? Just wondering wouldn't want to damage the mat or get it all in the auger

You bet! Honestly I probably would never use the floor if I couldn’t set it up this quickly!
@ agree. It has to be simple. You made it look that way!!
Might have to give this a try! Congrats on the baby on the way!
It’s been so nice! So efficient for setting up! Thank you!

I think you could buy Grace/Vycor window flashing for a bit cheaper and a longer roll?
Possibly! I’ve never tried it! Worth a shot for sure

You would think otter or clam would have a product like this out there. Great idea!
Agreeed! Sounds like a good business opportunity for you?

I've seen people use a very durable cloth for the seams that are glued together with some Super 77 adhesive. Sounds a lot cheaper that the tape.
I have heard of a lot of people doing that as well, but it doesn’t sound like it was quite as durable as the flex tape.
Suggestion for cutting off the tabs - use an electric knife. Cuts like butter.
I like it!
Harbor freight has the cheapest price of the foam mats, set of 4 for $4.99.
That’s a good deal! Thanks for sharing!
You can just use a foam mat and role it up
Is that what you use? Do you have trouble with it curling up and not wanting to lay flat?
@@danholtbk7008 tried it, when it is really cold it is hard to get the curl out!
It's a good idea but I have a 8 person tent
And you can add more to the outside edges!
