Instructions:
Put your newly found shells into a glass container and flush thoroughly with hot water to rinse off any debris.
Drain water and towel dry the shells.
Put them back in the glass container and pour 100% bleach over the shells until they are all totally covered. Remember to use personal protective equipment like eye protection, gloves and also do this step outside or in proper ventilation.
Let them soak for 15 minutes then remove them from the bleach.
Rinse/flush the shells thoroughly in hot water. Allow them to soak, rinse and repeat as needed. Dispose of the bleach properly.
Towel dry the shells and allow to air dry until completely dry.
Set the shells on a decent size piece of cardboard or other subsurface. Spray each side of the shell with your preferred coating following specifications like recommended spraying distance away from the shells, etc.
Remember to not over apply spray product and thin coats are always recommended.
Display in your container of choice.
