Great video Aaron. Started following hearts 85/86 been to countless finals, won 3, wins against hibs home away and Hampden and I’ve never experienced singing like that before. From the square to half an hour after the final whistle and the bus back. Amazing🇱🇻🇮🇹

Fantastic, Aaron, made it in by the skin of my teeth at the bottom left in the last shot of the stadium! Great to spend some time with you and G on Friday in Tartan Jock's. That was up there with Spurs and Liverpool (easily the best I've used my passport for).

We only got just about 2500 official tickets but managed to get double in with many left in the streets / pubs of Florence Also more didn’t travel due to lack of tickets🇱🇻❤️🇱🇻

Its quite depressing how much the away support is segregated. Unfortunately, too many times there's been clashes between local idiots and away fans, so segregating the away support is important for everyone's safety. Until Italian clubs take ownership of their own ultras, every week involves being led up a dark tunnel and up into row ZZ where you sit in a cage.

@@FootballManiaHD When I was in Italy on university placement, I loved going to games. But, being put in a cage every second week got really tiresome. I made myself a Bologna fan for a season! Tbf, the Italians love football. But, the home clubs really need to control their ultras the way Chelsea took ownership of their fans behaviour. Either support the club respectfully or get lost!!
We had 4 Sections , one caged ( official away support. We also bought out the next 3 sections i the home ends MAD MAF and.MAE. Fair play to Fiorentina for letting us do that up until 2 days before the game but we had many many more watching the game in Florence pubs 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻
@@duneideann9241 That sounds great. Yes, fair play to Fiorentina. Glad to hear it too. As a 1 year Bologna supporter (there on Uni Placement) I went to all the grounds. I found the rigid segregation depressing, so glad to see they've lightened up a bit.
@@JSL2000 Not sure if they initially new what was happening as most were being purchased with viva card memberships. . I think they cottoned on but let it continue for a while and blocked off an area for a Police cordon to separate fans.after the 3 sections were sold. I can’t see it happening again though especially for domestic games

Shame about the score, but comparing the money spent on Fiorentina and Hearts, it's night and day, plus Hearts lost Soutter, Simms etc, and Boyce Beni, Halkett, Rowles all injured and more, so we are not at full strength, so was expecting a 4-0/4-1, I was close. People saying Neilson out have lost their minds! We were in the Championship 2 season ago and 3rd last season and now playing Fiorentina etc so madness, plus injuries etc, can we play better? Yes, but the lads have had 4 games in just over a week, and the squad depth isn't that much, we need a couple of fresh faces at least in the next TF window and tbh Neilson needs to give the young ones a chance to prove themselves.
The EUCL money will help, could do with another win and a draw, but il take another win against RFS and we have done ok, a draw in Istanbul would really show character, but I doubt it unless Beni, Boyce, Halkett all come bk early, which I doubt is happening until Jan/Feb, so our first season bk in Europe with a 60-70% full squad, we've done alright considering. I think RFS just caught Fiorentina at a bad time to get the draw, I wish we played them first now, we might have sneaked a win or draw like RFS, but I think now, their form has returned and they will start flying up Serie A, they are usually a top 10 side at least.
Hearts have just been unlucky, had we had the squad of late last season or the start of last season, then the matches would have been much closer, maybe a Draw at home against Fiorentina and possibly Istanbul. The players seem to be lacking a bit of self confidence and the International break after RFS was bad timing, then Rangers and Cammy sent off hit Hearts right in the Heart, confidence can make a MASSIVE difference, look at Fiorentina last week, bicycle kicks, then left the changing room a mess, Scottish teams have lost the respect of European teams and the way our league is set up, it only benefits 2 teams the most and it's been like that since the late 80s early 90s, in most European leagues in the last 10-15 years at least 4 -6 different teams have won the league, but not us, for the last 40 years it's been Rangers and Celtic, now tell me that's right? Not since Dundee Utd and Fergies amazing Aberdeen in the early/mid 80s have others teams like ourselves had a sniff, 2005-2006 was our last best chance, but Romanov DESTROYED our season pushing out Burley.
Also in our league, as soon as Hearts build a half decent team, they get stripped of their best players, usually to the Gers n Ticks and abroad, then we have to rebuild, so how can we build winning teams if that happens most seasons?
Scotland need up the FIFA Rankings ASAP.
EPL best league in the world? Ok, fair enough money wise it's a lot, especially the TV money share, but when we play England you would NOT think they were top 5 in the world consistently, stinks tbh, money is getting us nowhere. Grass roots is where it's at now for us, we HAVE TO PROMOTE IT! Or it will just be players wanting a decent wage, and looking to "move up", rather than kids desperate to pull on that jersey with pride, and give it 110%, as it should be!
As for Hearts just now, as soon as most are back from injury and we stake our claim for 3rd I'll be happy. Possibly get in Lee Seung Woo and another Big Aerial Central Defender during next TF window, and give a gd push to cement 3rd in the league, as we need to be at least 3rd consistently to get European experience, but yes not fair on other teams in the league, so yeah up the FIFA RANKINGS ASAP and the club coefficient.
I'm gony be brutally honest though, Scottish teams have been humiliated this season and Scotland being down at 40 in FIFA Rankings is nae gd, aye we are in nations league A now, but we need up the rankings so we can get more clubs into Europe and help the coefficient like I said, as we are struggling. Fiorentina look like a decent Europa League team, almost half decent Champions league side, I think the EUCL should be all the teams that are getting beat from the "Bigger" clubs etc, some of the teams winning 4/5-0 should not really be in the EUCL and should be in the Europa League instead, so as to give the lesser known teams a chance at least to shine, they should increase the UCL, EUL and EUCL group sizes as well to 5/6 teams in the leagues, so that the top 6 qualify in each domestic league or however they would work it out, with lower domestic leagues like Lichtenstein etc having 6 teams but 3 in UEL and 3 UECL, with top 50 teams in Europe having 2 teams in UCL and top 51 - 100 only 1 in UCL, then 101+ no UCL, just access to UEL and UECL? Who knows but all 3 competitions need their sizes increased, the World cup as well 16 teams of 3 is a JOKE, teams will just collude, so I say NO to 16 teams of 3 and YES to 12 teams of 4, why this isn't happening is just more confirmation of corruption in the game, sad but true!

I would love scottish football to be better.
I have some ideas for Scottish and British football.
I want us to keep our domestic scottish, welsh and english leagues, but to have extra pan great britain cups on top of domestic and European football.
The Scottish have already allowed Welsh and Northern Irish sides In the Scottish challenge cup.
My ideas include*
Invite the top.6.Scottish premier sides as guests in the english fa cup.
Merge the English league cup, scottish league cup and welsh league cup as the great britain cup.
Invite all scottish premier sides not in europe plus selected welsh cymru premier sides Into the football league trophy.
Invite all scottish premier sides and scottish championship sides not in europe and all welsh cymru premier sides Into the english fa trophy.
