Mohg’s devotion is not spousal, it’s a bit more sinister. Miquella embedded himself in the Haligtree while in a slumber, as a path to somehow cure his twin sister's (Malenia) scarlet rot. Mohg essentially abducts him, from the tree while he’s still sleeping before the process completed. Hence the broken cocoon. Both Malenia and Miquella were born cursed, Malenia's curse was scarlet rot (if you recall from the Radahn fight). Miquella's curse is to be forever child/childlike. Also if you recall the secret that was revealed back in Leyndell It's that Radagon and Marika are in some ways the same person. Malenia and Miquella are the offspring of this supposed incestual relationship. It's unknown what it really means that they are the same person, there's a lot of room for interpretation there.

There is a crystal tear that protects you from almost all damage you can take from his Nihil attack, so, be aware that you beat him the hard way (Kudos for that!). If you want to gain some extra levels to adjust your stats, or if you just want to get a lot of runes to buy something expensive, I recommend you to consider visiting this area. I was hoping you'd find your way to Mohgwyn Palace! There's a way to get here way earlier in the game involving Varre but you would've been way underleveled. Anyway, that first grace you found is one of the best rune farming spot if you can kill all the enemies on the slope fast enough. It took you a minute to realize but yes that is the same Mohg, or rather this is the true Mohg like Morgott was to Margit. Congrats defeating him 56:30 you duplicated Mohg's remembrance. As you know, you can exchange remembrances for rewards with Enia at the Roundatble Hold. You usually have to choose between two rewards. By duplicating, you can get both! I'd advise to go check and see which remembrances you want both rewards for so you know which ones to duplicate ;) 57:10 I'm glad you went back and summoned Latenna, finishing her quest. It was kinda sad though 😢 Oh and you can level Mini-Me to max level now I think :D
That spot with poor relaxing peaceful Albinaurics is actually the best rune farming spot in the game, you can get there even from Liurnia through Varre's questline really early on in the game.
Congrats on Mohg, he was a tough boss for my first, melee playthrough. The walking mausoleums are used for dublicating the rememberances of bosses. So now you have 2 of Mohg's and you can exchange them for his weapons/spells by Enia, at Roundtable Hold.

It's already been mentioned, but don't miss the excellent rune farming opportunity there at the palace approach site of grace. Lure the bird off the cliff with an arrow and it pays 11032 runes for a 20 rune arrow and just a few seconds. 13245 runes with the gold scarab talisman. And you're a hoot to watch play also. Way better than me.

While he is thought to be male, there's also theories that he's also been a woman. Possibly Saint Trina, who also has a Lilly you pick up.
