Wow, I'm always so happy to hear people with sickle cell disease living a long life, my son has sickle cell and my father passed away from sickle cell at the age of 42. Thank God for the blood of Jesus it's still work. My baby is 17 years old, it's been very tough but by God grace he is still striving and doing well. Praise the Lord

My oldest son is 39 he has sickle cell anemia he was diagnosed at nine months he draws very well he even drew a very likeness of T Boz yrs ago he still draws time to time but as for anybody putting time line on anybody life whatever ailments they may have should not speak those words because no one knows and it really unsettling for a mother to hear in spite of those lies look at you now an adult with a child of your own a successful career and all this and more because of Almighty GOD stay strong and continue to be BLESSED 💐

I have the traits of Sickle Cell Anemia. I don’t get any symptoms as a person with full blown SCA but, if a person with the traits gets married or has kids, they have to make sure their partner doesn’t have traits also. Something that happened over 2 years ago, yet it is affecting me deeping today. It means something to have a positive attitude and something to live for when living with a chronic illness. I don't have that anymore. I never thought things would go like this. I am trying very hard to find a reason to keep fighting. But, living in such a lonely way...this seems so empty and so sad.

i can relate. i had a brain tumor back in Dec 2018 that left me in a coma for 2 months, a rehab hospital for 3 months, a senior citizen hospital for 2 months (and i am only 44), 2 months in house terapy and 2 months in/out terapy center. I went from a wheelchair to a walker to a cane. I hope i can walk on my own soon.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor when I was six back in 2005, people treat me differently because of it, they think I can’t do simple things, or think I’m just a “confused person” when I ask them questions on how to do something, then they give me “pity looks” and watch me as if I don’t know what I’m doing, it makes me angry and hurt that people treat me like I still have it, and that it automatically makes me dumb.

Strength and beauty I am so sad hearing this my father died in 93 me and my sister only experience 9 and 8 years with our dad....we had to watch him die slowly from birth to death he was in the hospital every two weeks . She is blessed to live so long with that desease

I watched the show and it really touched me. I followed the group all my life and was aware she had cc. Didn't realise she had a bt. Glad she survived that. I lost a cousin a few months ago to cc.; he suffered with it from birth and just battled with it Through it all he was a really , really positive and wonderful person who died at 33years of age. Continue to be strong and god bless. Lol from a 60 plus year old fan Miss Lopez would live on in your heart.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor when I was six back in 2005, people treat me differently because of it, they think I can’t do simple things, or think I’m just a “confused person” when I ask them questions on how to do something, then they give me “pity looks” and watch me as if I don’t know what I’m doing, it makes me angry and hurt that people treat me like I still have it, and that it automatically makes me dumb.

Strength and beauty I am so sad hearing this my father died in 93 me and my sister only experience 9 and 8 years with our dad....we had to watch him die slowly from birth to death he was in the hospital every two weeks . She is blessed to live so long with that desease

I watched the show and it really touched me. I followed the group all my life and was aware she had cc. Didn't realise she had a bt. Glad she survived that. I lost a cousin a few months ago to cc.; he suffered with it from birth and just battled with it
