Watched on another device, another great unbiased walkthrough and thoughts 👊 “Big guy stability test”. 😮🤣 Nice options at the end with the reasons for the options 😎

Between the sportsman 120 and this what would you recommend?
Primary use is going to be fishing on lakes with the odd bigger river excursion.
Really want to focus on stability so I can stand and fish.
    Great video!

The Bigwater paddles better and the Sportsman is more stable. I personally like the Sportsman but that Bigwater is really nice. Depends on what you are wanting the kayak to do better

some tips: push those splash guards out as far as they will go. take your paddle and place it on your head. there should be two 90 degree angles. you can adjust a little bit from there but generally this is how far apart you want your hands. when we kayak we are not pulling the boat through the water with our bottom hand the way we are with a canoe. we push with our upper hand. what we're actually doing is ensuring that we use our entire upper bodies to paddle, mainly our chests and backs, instead of our arms. spear the water at around where your feet are and push with the opposite hand. your torso rotating does 90% of the work. might not matter on a 2-3 hour trip but you bet your ass it matters on a 10 hour trip. guided for about six years, taught more people how to kayak than i can realistically count. thousands. maybe tens of thousands. always shocked to see how few people in this sport can actually paddle a kayak properly. at least the paddle isn't upside down.

Man those are 2 completely different setups. What would your primary use be for the kayak? What kind of water would you be on?

Decent kayak at a decent price performs well in the water and a comfortable seat

Is this hull just the older model Predator 13? I used to own one and these are very similar.

Minor changes but it will be very similiar. I dont have the best "sea legs" but I had no problem standing up on it

Does that middle console unit come out, or is it permanent? The one you talk about holding your phone.

@@thebeardedpaddler thanks! That’s nice to know. I like this model to mount a NK or something like that. Looks like a good option for a Power kayak.

Ah mate you’re killing me. I was convinced on an outback but watching your videos I’m thinking hobie isn’t good value and this might be the one.
