Had a FedEx package delivered to a neighbor. Package showed up as delivered and the picture provided was not my door since the doormat didn't match. FedEx claims service wasn't much help either. Luckily the neighbor turned into the complex office 3 days later and I was able to get my delivery.

Talk about nerve-wracking! From the delivery to assembly - I'd be angry, depressed and everything in between. I'm so glad I live out in the boonies. Nearest neighbor is a quarter mile down the road and nowadays there's always someone at home so no worry about package theft. There was a time when we were naive enough to leave the house with nobody here when we had to run errands in town. One burglary later that included loss of everything from jewelry, old coins, stashed cash and even the microwave, we arranged it so there's always someone at home. To this day I'm always thankful those @&$*#! people didn't hurt or steal our 3 dogs. Back to the statue though, despite all the problems, it's pretty cool! My adrenaline is still high from the assembly though, lol. Thanks for sharing!

I almost had this happen to me once as well. It was not until I reached out to the retailer and the postal services and they started an investigation that the neighbor "suddenly" discovered there was a package that didn't belong to them "in their care." :P

Happened to me too, and guess what? With UPS as well. It was a Ryuuko Matoi figure I bought from MFC, and the neighbor that wrongly got my package decided to open it and display it for 3 days before customer service tracked it down. The neighbor returned it without any packaging, only the figure's box, telling me "this is how I got it" lol.
Wow, are you serious??? The fact that they even displayed it and tried to get rid of the evidence... 😡

It seems to come with the resin territory. Every resin figure I've purchased has at least one item broken despite how well they package it. So long as I can glue the issues and they aren't visible, I'm good lol 😅

Glad you got it back safe. I've lost a parcel worth about USD550 because the postal service delivered it to the wrong person and "forgot" where they delivered it to. Needless to say, I never got it back and I have zero faith in humanity now.

Had something delivered to the wrong city once and when I tracked down the post office that had it they said someone had already picked it up, thankfully I was able to get a refund but wasn't happy. Though i gotta say this statue is beautiful even with all the glue fixes in its future

I’m a big resin statue collectors and from my experience it’s not Martha’s fault it’s the companies fault, if you look up how they test those foams containers with the statue inside they throw those around 100 times to test if the statue gets damage at all, i believe this company is slacking on off IMO.

I had the SAME thing happen. UPS sent out some investigator lady to knock on doors and try to find it. It went to my crazy neighbor who is a looney hermit who refused to answer her door for them. It was a pain to get a refund then a month later I saw the lady and she gave me the box back. Lol

Yea, blue tack is a statue collector's best friend, especially concerning custom pieces. One of the reasons I tend to steer clear of customs most of the time. That's not to say that licensed statues are always perfect and never need it, but it is pretty rare in my experience.
That and some good super glue are godsends! 🤣
My heart literally dropped when the water affect fell, only to be followed up by more breakage! I'm honestly impressed you pushed through the rest of the assembly. I would've been absolutely devastated.

I once bought a figure off Amazon once (risky already, I know), but figure was fine... however, had a similar experience to some comments below where they took an image of the deliver that def was not my porch, but luckily I recognized my neighbors porch. Not sure how understanding they would be if they found out their neighbor collected "dolls", so not cool Amazon.... Not cool...

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Martha was sitting on it for so long because she was going to try to sell it. We had a similar thing happen with a Ninja drink maker of the same price point, person just said they “didn’t have it” even though we had a picture of it at their doorstep.

Why the hell did they let someone with a different name sign for your package? Seriously makes me so mad for you 🤬 Last week USPS delivered a book I ordered to the wrong box in the cluster box and were useless in tracking it down for me. Luckily whoever got it did the right thing and returned it to the mail to try to redeliver and circled and wrote the correct address on the box in thick marker, like 'Hello!'. But I'm still mad about it. I've never had so many misdelivered packages by USPS until I moved to my current place. A porch pirate also once stole an order delivered by UPS within like 30 minutes of it being delivered. I hate people. 😑

Happened around last year, I remember some kid stole my rice cooker that I had ordered from Costco. In the end the father caught him and made him return it.

that's horrible. i had that happened with one service. i bought some folders from Japan and the lady read the wrong address when she delivered it to them. i had to file a complaint and luckily no one was home at that time to pick it up. these people need to pay attention to what they are doing. it pisses me off people work hard for the things they buy and theses people dont care. maybe they dont care to work at all because im sure the companies will tell the others of thier mistakes. but im just glad you got it back.
Yea this was out of character for the delivery people I usually deal with so this was a huge shock... 😅 Maybe it was a new guy or something?
I usually have Canada Post keep my stuff until I can pick it up and pay customs.
The service that deliver my statue orders have been all over the place so I was surprised when it was UPS... 🤣 I try to have great relationships with my delivery guys, I even give them drinks on hot summer days... 😅
This has happened to me before with canada post. I didn't get my package and I didnt get a refund. It sucked. If I knew who had kept it I would have confronted them for sure. Its disappointing to know someone that lives around you isnt a very good person. Specially a box that big they must have known it was expensive and with it being cracked open like that i'm betting they opened it to see what was in it.

It happened to me as the recipient of a wrong parcel - funnily enough it was a package containing Amiami content and I immediately reached out to my neighbor just a floor above; she was so thankful.
I imagine it would suck if I was in her position and never want someone to feel like that and I also strongly believe in Karma. Good thing for me is that my mum's place always has someone/and or isolated enough that nobody really walks past.
Ultimately it worked out but man was I pissed! 😂 Being a good Samaritan isn't that hard so it sucks when a few bad apples mess everything up! 😢
Unfortunately a little kindness and extra mile is not how everyone want to roll with.. I can imagine your contact number being there too and she can just call you to let you retrieve it back.
I feel like it came good after all (at least you recovered it as opposed to the worst situation of getting lost in limbo) and the statue really looks great!

This has only happened to me once... so far. The neighbor is right next to me so I recognized exactly where the photo was taken, but the person could not be bothered to tell me, answer their door, or acknowledge my written note. I got my box after intercepting the person's friend.

I have a feeling that the instructions never existed to begin with but also keeping something that isn't yours for 2 weeks is unacceptable! 😒 Since it was signed for it's not like you were on vacation and couldn't reach out to me...

I have never had a package stolen but definitely have had multiple that just never showed up, tracking never said delivered either 😅
Also I have 2 small resins and I just never touch them because I'm terrified to break them since I'm clumsy

Similar story, when we lived in our apartment complex, I had a “Martha” who always took my Free People or Anthropologie (clothing/homeware) packages when I was away at work. They never took anything else but only those brands lol maybe we were the same size or something. Stopped shopping there and they didn’t take any more of my things. So weird. 😢

The parts all seems to be fitted into the styrofoam correctly right? what about plastic coverings to prevent paint transfer? If those are in place, i doubt martha is the one to blame for the breakage cus if she took it out once, i doubt she will be able to put it back in so perfectly unless she too is a resin collector.
High chance she is holding onto it to give off as a gift someday if the tracking process didnt happen. So shitty of her to not give it back though like as if she didnt know where u live 😤

UPS put my massive Ami package on the other side of my neigbbor's fence so I had to wait around until they got home to get it 😂

@@DTTCReviews Normally it wouldn't be a big deal as long as it gets to me undamaged, but when there's rare pre-owned figures in the order it's somewhat panic inducing 😆 the trick with UPS is to call their 800 number and talk to a dispatcher at the distrubution center who can call the driver

You should file a postal claim that you never received your package by mail either it got lost or stolen to get your money back.

That's a close call. Usually if I get something misdelivered, I just hold onto it and leave it sealed. I don't know any of my neighbors and I am not into delivering packages for them. Usually they come by after a day or two to ask for it and I have it ready for them. Granted, I used to help one specific neighbor cuz they have the same street number as me but they live in a different part of the neighborhood. But they stole a package of items for my folks once so I no longer bring their packages back to them. If they don't come for their packages, tough luck.
Man that sucks. Crossing me once like that would be enough to make me stop helping them too! 😐

Had a scale figure delivered from UPS once. The figure box was crushed and the window of the box was shattered. Thankfully the blister saved the figure. First and only time I threw away a figure box. Sorry that happened. Geez neighbors suck.

I had a package sent to my old address even though I changed the address long before it was time to deliver. UPS told me that there was nothing that I could do, but call the company that sent the package. Called them (Good-Smile) but they said that I would have to repurchase the item again if I wanted it and if the other package gets returned to them, then they would refund me. So, UPS went and retrieved the item anyway and sent it to me. Now I have two Goddess Hestia statues. This could have been settled if the new owner of my previous home just returned it to UPS.
Ultimately, you came out of it with a huge W! 🤣 Hopefully, there are no new packages that get sent to your old place!
