This is a life-changing film, or it should be. I will not be surprised if many men are wounded deeply by it, and those who are need to be. I will be thinking of Bella for many years to come, and thanking her for her beautiful and brutal critique of our existence. What we do with it in a country where our bodily autonomy has been revoked remains to be seen.

This is a story that engages you in the beginning and holds you in its grip until the very end. It's odd, quirky, funny, fantastical, and has all the elements of speculative fiction because of its political impact. Emma Stone was hands down phenomenal and most certainly will win an Oscar for her performance. The ending(goat/man) was somewhat predictable but most likely satisfying for all the women out there who have had relationships with men who want ultimate control in a relationship and/or treat women as property and not human beings.

I don't see her doing that much in the film. She's fine but it's not at all on same the level as Da'Vine or Emily Blunt in Oppenheimer. Its about the predatory nature of men and how they do not wish women to grow and become self influenced and indulge in their joys by making them fearful of the World. bella realizes people are not all good and the majority of people who are kind to her in the film are women. 1 man gives her mercy and grace for simply being herself. They basically didnt say much, some people can make everything up come up with something random that everyone loves them the same while others try their best to fit in and are mocked into shame and non-existence, not that they were wrong but since they subjected themselves to the will of others to be judged to feel in disadvantage from the beginning thats why they actually ended up in disadvantage, moral of the story, be bold be yourself and care not about the subjective judgement of others. This character bella in the real world would be made fun of so hard that so she wouldn’t have the guts to go to those places without behaving properly soon after, she would be shamed into oblivion by arrogant people who think they know what’s best (most people), and behaving properly just means behaving like everybody else.

Too bad the Oscar’s were and always have been an exclusive club and have nothing to do with the public… you know that the public doesn’t vote for the Oscar’s right? Members of the Academy do. Visa vie, other people in the industry. It’s always been inside baseball and it always will be, the ones that win aren’t always the ones which are the ‘most popular’ with general audiences, in fact I’d say historically that’s pretty rare, movies that get nominated and win are always to an extent known if not widely known, but the ones *we* would vote for? That’s funny…

The acting was excellent but I felt that the Director is gratuitously outrageous. i.e. How can I top myself in weirdness and challenge the audience's toleration of bizarreness. Did you see in the movie sexual feelings towards children?
Rafalo's character likes Bella because of her looks, not because she is a child. Check better next time.
