Joe keeps repeating it because it's incredible, but easily overlooked. People often don't put themselves in the mind of the person when they watch UFC, or think about context. I believe he is specifically referring to going for a single-leg, then releasing it to do a spinning elbow when they have no guard because they are defending an active takedown.

Yep. I am not a fan of Jon Jones. He is a confirmed narcissist and sociopath. But, being a guy who has been relentlessly bullied by people like that. Self-confidence is one of the big keys to how they got a big W over me almost every goddamned time.
I'm not saying this for pity. But Strickland is right. If you're called shit growing up, few successes... it makes you a target. For anybody going through it. Get a positive network of people.
