Hey lads, since I am seeing all these comments about muting the stream, I want to recommend a mix that I actually listen to on loop when I watch RLCS content and when I play Rocket League. "Deep House Tiger Mix by Jason Lewis", while I watch RLCS on one tab, I play this mix on another, and adjust the volume of both based on whether I want to mute the commentary or not. My watching experience is 10x better, and funny enough I play better RL when I convert my watch-time into play-time with the same mix.

They stimulate your brain, personally with someone with autism these tones help me focus, in fact the reason why I watch RLCS is so I can carry over that game logic into my own games, so this music helps me better analyse gameplay that I can carry over into my own games. Jason Lewis provided a playlist of the music he used to curate the mix if you check in the video description, if you like the music but not the tones. Also I recommend you to have the music on lower volume initially.
The solution should not be to mute or put something else on, I want to watch RLCS and enjoy it which I can do most of the time, just when certain casters are casting I have an issue. Stop finding excuses to cover up bad talent

It’s crazy to me to think Psyonix and Epic Games have no one listening to fan feed back. CLEARLY there are casters who have ZERO clue as to what is happening and you give them the biggest stage possible. Do you want us to just stop watching? I don't like that we had some amazing casters removed and pushed back. It really sucks to have such quality ripped from us. At the same time, and we really need to understand and remember this, all casters are HUMAN. Mistakes will be made. I'm not excusing them, but it's important to understand that they're doing their best. They were given an opportunity too good to pass up on a game they like. They're trying, for sure. I guarantee most people here would jump at the opportunity to cast the game we all love, but we would all undoubtedly make mistakes and have people disagree with our different casting styles. Imagine. You get an opportunity to cast your region's RLCS and you accept. Super pumped about it. You get through the weekend, and it wasn't bad! Sure, could've been better but not bad. You check the comments on the YT stream, and it's nothing but hate for you, your voice, and your casting. Imagine the shit you would feel. This season of RL is definitely the first season where I've consistently cringed at the casting crew. It feels and sounds more like they're "playing casters" rather than "being casters". In the past it was only here and there. Now I'm just bored and annoyed. Herc in particular was a terrible addition. Since my first time hearing them I wasn't a fan. Really glad to see I'm not the only one feeling this way. Can't even watch the tournaments around my partner anymore because they get too annoyed. Nice work Epic.

I understand the issue that people have with Herc. Honestly, I think she's pretty solid most of the time, but she fails to highlight some of the big plays happening in the moment while she is analyzing gameplans and strategies. That is fine as long as it is in strict moderation because then you miss the wealth of the game. Also whoever is mad at play-by-play casters needs to chill. That's what they do. They CAST the gameplay. That is literally how they cast in sports like the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, FIFA, and more.

Rocket League is really a game where the casters need to understand it deeply for it to work. Without being able to call the mechanics correctly or tell which goals and plays are impressive and which are ordinary, the casting will never match the tone of whats happening. I feel bad for Herc. Before the event started I was thinking about KC'S Worst Nightmare and it was Oxygen Losing in the Final and Team BDS Winning the Final and little did you know it actually happened.
Every event highlights something wrong with the format. This one is that the current format is overly brutal because one fluke from KC is enough to put their whole season in jeopardy. The other thing is that there are not enough qualification spots for majors especially for EU. i mean so many teams that are pretty good not making it. Worlds needs to have the wild card to make it possible for these teams that are good enough to make it. This format is just not good.

At first I didnt get it. Then I became aware Hercs commentary was like a voice that draws words out and doesn't say what is really happening. Muted grand finals during game 2. I like the idea of a female caster but regardless of male/female, caster needs to be very very knowledgeable about their game, and have exceptional game sense. Drali manages to beat Alpha and Zen while double taping the ball from the floor in the top corner, all in all a 10/10 goal, and she's with a monotone voice focused on MM chasing Rado, she manages to take the entire excitement out of a amazing goal...
Yeah the whole series' casting was so weird.. It seemed at some other BDS goals that the hype was just not there... Hopefully they catch up to that cause they could do so much better if they actually highlighted the players scoring 10/10 goals (not saying that MM was useless but as you said the goal was really good and deserved way more hype than that.)

I do not get why you get pegged as being sexiest automatically when you criticize herc. The thing is, rlcs NEEDS good casting, that is the bare minimum. The casting is so important to the experience watching from home. I think having castors who cannot deliver shouldn’t be able to cast the finals dawg. This is killing the experience and the viewership. I would flipping love a girl caster, especially if she was insightful, passionate, and funny; it would be a great edition, but herc can’t cast rocket league, regardless of her gender. I personally love cjs style. He knows the history, he knows the players, and he knows the game. He’s an ex pro player😂which is maybe where we should start.

Hey lads, since I am seeing all these comments about muting the stream, I want to recommend a mix that I actually listen to on loop when I watch RLCS content and when I play Rocket League. "Deep House Tiger Mix by Jason Lewis", while I watch RLCS on one tab, I play this mix on another, and adjust the volume of both based on whether I want to mute the commentary or not. My watching experience is 10x better, and funny enough I play better RL when I convert my watch-time into play-time with the same mix.

They stimulate your brain, personally with someone with autism these tones help me focus, in fact the reason why I watch RLCS is so I can carry over that game logic into my own games, so this music helps me better analyse gameplay that I can carry over into my own games.

CLEARLY there are casters who have ZERO clue as to what is happening and you give them the biggest stage possible. Do you want us to just stop watching? I don't like that we had some amazing casters removed and pushed back. It really sucks to have such quality ripped from us. At the same time, and we really need to understand and remember this, all casters are HUMAN. Mistakes will be made. I'm not excusing them, but it's important to understand that they're doing their best. They were given an opportunity too good to pass up on a game they like. They're trying, for sure. I guarantee most people here would jump at the opportunity to cast the game we all love, but we would all undoubtedly make mistakes and have people disagree with our different casting styles. Imagine. You get an opportunity to cast your region's RLCS and you accept. Super pumped about it. You get through the weekend, and it wasn't bad! Sure, could've been better but not bad. You check the comments on the YT stream, and it's nothing but hate for you, your voice, and your casting. Imagine the shit you would feel.
Again, I don't like the change, but let's try not to put people down too badly. We should expect improvement, but we don't need to spread hate.

This season of RL is definitely the first season where I've consistently cringed at the casting crew. It feels and sounds more like they're "playing casters" rather than "being casters". In the past it was only here and there. Now I'm just bored and annoyed. Herc in particular was a terrible addition. Since my first time hearing them I wasn't a fan. Really glad to see I'm not the only one feeling this way. Can't even watch the tournaments around my partner anymore because they get too annoyed. Nice work Epic.

I understand the issue that people have with Herc. Honestly, I think she's pretty solid most of the time, but she fails to highlight some of the big plays happening in the moment while she is analyzing gameplans and strategies. That is fine as long as it is in strict moderation because then you miss the wealth of the game.
Also whoever is mad at play-by-play casters needs to chill. That's what they do. They CAST the gameplay. That is literally how they cast in sports like the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, FIFA, and more.

Rocket League is really a game where the casters need to understand it deeply for it to work. Without being able to call the mechanics correctly or tell which goals and plays are impressive and which are ordinary, the casting will never match the tone of whats happening. I feel bad for Herc. Whoever hired someone who understands the game that little made a terrible mistake.

I come over here, click on this video, and what is the first match I see? BDS vs Vitality! So cool to see another game between the two, and BDS played so well!

Before the event started I was thinking about KC'S Worst Nightmare and it was Oxygen Losing in the Final and Team BDS Winning the Final and little did you know it actually happened.
Every event highlights something wrong with the format. This one is that the current format is overly brutal because one fluke from KC is enough to put their whole season in jeopardy. The other thing is that there are not enough qualification spots for majors especially for EU. i mean so many teams that are pretty good not making it. Worlds needs to have the wild card to make it possible for these teams that are good enough to make it. This format is just not good.

At first I didnt get it. Then I became aware Hercs commentary was like a voice that draws words out and doesn't say what is really happening. Muted grand finals during game 2. I like the idea of a female caster but regardless of male/female, caster needs to be very very knowledgeable about their game, and have exceptional game sense. Maybe have her listen to Jonny and CJ commentary for 100 hours.

Again, we want to listen to the casters because they're meant to make the game more enjoyable and understandable for the average viewer.
