I'm sure that more quality of life updates will come out to fix some of the issues like how shooting a gun has no recoil and stuff like that, so far it doesn't look that bad.
Can any Silent Hill fan explain to me why in this remake they decided to use the version of Pyramid Head with a kind of pulp inside the helmet? I understand that the original version by Masahiro Itto (creator of ph) is that it's a mystery what's inside the helmet, but it's definitely not a mass of pulp. Still, I don't understand why it's presented like that in this remake. I've been a Silent Hill fan since the 90's, but I stopped playing a couple of years ago, is there something I missed?
To an extent, even in the original release, Pyramid Head has always kind of had that mass of pulp, but more of a sickly beige colour than it being pink fleshy red. It was more hidden because of the lesser polygon count but it's still noticable when you view him from the side (the space under the helmet almost sags instead of being open), and from the back. I think because of the graphical leap from 2001 to 2024 graphics there was bound to be some changes made to some details in the monsters from the original Silent Hill 2 that were often hard to make out or even impossible to recreate given the tech and methods used at the time. Honestly, as is, this looks brilliant so far.
that gun sound effect..the arm doesent even kick back from the recoil. I don't think its so much the teams fault for not having the ability, more so the deadlines getting pushed onto them.
I think I can finally say that Behavior did a awful job at designing PH in DBD He looks nothing like the original, not disgusting and weird looking, he's just buff with a tiny bit of blood splattered on him, very disappointed. His fingers are not together, the meat sack behind his neck is non-existent, no mold in his body and outfit They just made him hot and a bit dirty of blood and called the day... 😐
Remake looks goddamn awful That often angle changes(and let's be honest-not the best angles) makes scene just goofy. I'm silent abt animations and atmosphere, it looks like fan made work How very old game can give you more horror and atmosphere than 2024 game? (Oh, I forgot what the most scary in sh2 remake- character models and optimization hah)
