  • One of the quickest and craziest trips we have ever planned. We were thinking about getaways near Mumbai when Dudhsagar Waterfalls sprung up in our discussion. We immediately booked Pune to Kulem train tickets in tatkal. We reached Dadar, took a general ticket for Pune. And the moment we reached Pune, we booked another tatkal ticket for our return journey - Madgaon to Mumbai. So, after reaching Pune we went to Shri Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati mandir and the haunted Shaniwarwada Fort because we had few hours at our disposal. At around 4:35 PM, we boarded the Goa Express from Pune, ate, slept and got up at around 3:00 AM, next day, to get down at Kulem. However, we met other trekkers who advised us to get down at Sonaulim station and then walk through the railway tracks towards Dudhsagar (there's no official halt at Sonaulim station, but trains do stop for few seconds and we took an advantage of it). What we saw at around 6:30 AM was a sight to behold! The milky white waterfall seemed like the king of all waterfalls in the world. Dudhsagar is a 1,017-feet waterfall, one of the tallest in India, located inside Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary on the Mandovi River. The sight cannot be described in words, truly. We have captured our journey in this video. Hope you like this.
By the way, after reaching back Kulem, we went to Colva beach in South Goa. At around 11:00 PM, we took the Mumbai Express train from Madgaon and completed our journey. It was one hell of a trip!

I'm assuming you're talking about train. If the route is via Londa-Kulem, then you will be able to see the waterfall.

+Md Rashed Uzzaman walk from Sonalium till Dudhsagar falls takes about 50 minutes on railway track. You could walk back towards Sonalium/Kulem on the railway tracks again. Jungle route is also an option but you need appropriate permits, if asked
