This was such a fascinating deep dive into the future of drone delivery. The way you've combined fixed-wing efficiency with VTOL capabilities in such a lightweight design is incredibly smart-especially since weight and aerodynamics have such a massive impact on range, cost, and noise. It’s crazy to think how little last-mile delivery has evolved over the past century, and this feels like a true step forward.
The regulatory side is definitely one of the biggest hurdles, but it makes sense that early traction in less restrictive markets will help push things forward globally. It’s also interesting how urban delivery solutions, like lockers or rooftop drop zones, might help scale this tech in more populated areas. The idea of delivery costs approaching zero over time is wild-if this takes off, it could completely reshape commerce and logistics as we know it.
Excited to see how Airbound develops, especially with FAA regulations on the horizon. The fact that this started as a high school project just makes it even more impressive!
