1.18.2 is commonly used for redstone
I personally play 1.14.2. Firstly, shipwrecks were super common so maps are super easy. There's also a bug with librarian villagers that allows for infinite emeralds, basically you zombify it then trade emeralds for bookshelves then books from those bookshelves for emeralds. I also enjoy the old nether rather than the new nether. This was also the last update with patrols that contained vindicators. It feels like the last true Minecraft update before the modern era.
