It had ALL the damn characters, man! And almost every third character had an EX version! Even the music was good (it's always good with SNK) The only thing I have an issue with is the combo system. KOFXIII's combo system is by far the best of all fighter games I have played.
kinoki aranongas Woah, girl. Iori is supposed to be one of the simplest characters to combo with. ***** Hey, man. It was 98 where you had simple jump-in, normal, special combos that were too basic. KOFXIII has real combos. Also, you don't need to do crazy combos, although I do not understand what is crazy for you.
kinoki aranongas Hey, no unreasonable hate, please. I'm not from your country so I thought you were a girl when I saw your name. Secondly, I was talking about Claw Iori. Flame Iori is difficult for me too, I'm with you.
I've gone through a bunch of characters looking for a solid 3rd pick on my team, might as well try Joe and see how i'll fair. Great great comb vid, some very inspirational stuff going on :D
That combo on Betty looks like one of Joe's Trials, can't remember which one. I was hoping to see a double stun combo here, but every combo here is a pice of art. Nice video. Awesome, like always. *Lol, i totally missed that combo on King... my bad.
Duo_Septimdra Google Nobuyuki Hiyama. He has been the VA for Joe for quite a while now. He was the voice actor for adult Link in OoT, the first 2 smash bros. games, and in Soul Calibur 2. Speaking of Soul Calibur, he is also the Japanese voice actor for Siegfried in ever Soul Calibur game. Google better next time :P
Joe is the best. Hey, how about REAL BOUT 2? I think it has a very good combo and attack link. for example, we can use A B C to have a combo or link up a special move.
You just have to get the opponent high enough so they bounce on the DM instead of be in it. Once they start bouncing, the last hit will hit late, making Joe recover quick enough to follow up a combo after it.
+smootskin There are several factors to consider when looking at these combos. >First, The King of Firghters XIII is a team-based fighting game. When you play, you select three different characters to play in a single match, and then you choose an order to play them in. Any one combo is only capable of taking out one character, or a third of your fighting force. >Second, as +Mighty Roogna said, executing the combos shown here requires large amounts of resources, and in several cases, the maximum amount of resources possible to have at one time (you can have one full drive gauge-the flashing blue bar-at any one time, and as for meter stocks-the yellow bar and number-you can have up to 3 with your point character, 4 with your middle character, and 5 with your anchor character). It's rare to find yourself with that many resources available and in a position to execute such a combo. >Using all of those resources on one character means you won't have much left over to deal with the remaining character(s) in your opponent's team and likely passing up opportunities to use up small amounts of resources effectively in order to save up for the big whopper combos, and because of the fact that the damage of the moves in a combo scales down as the combo goes on, continuing to use resources on one combo means you'll see diminishing returns. In fact, most players, including, critically, the very best players, have come to the conclusion that spreading your resources out in several smaller combos is generally more effective, and tournament footage bears this out: I've watched dozens of hours of tournament footage of this game and only ever seen a single ToD (Touch of Death) combo executed in all that footage. >Long combos like this are extremely difficult in terms of execution. Most characters aren't good enough at dealing lots of damage in a single combo to have ToD combos that are easy enough to realistically use in a tournament setting. In fact, the character this video is for-Joe Higashi-is kind of a gimmick character whose whole thing is that, while he's not that good of a character in general, he has some of the easiest ToD combos in the game. That's not nearly enough to make him tournament viable, though, and he gets almost no tournament play. Remember all that tournament footage I said I watched? I've only ever seen Joe played once, and the guy playing him dropped the ToD combo (the ToD combo I mentioned seeing was executed by a much better player playing another high-damage character).
KOF 98 was surely a good game.
the best

Goodness gracious.
Joe's still a beast. A shame SNK fucked up his model. Should have kept the model they used in Fatal Fury 2
Xavier Vega you would love how he looks I'm 2017 lol

Joe got alot shorter and skinnier then i remember
What is the trick to continue the combo after the DM (qcfx2 P) in that combo on Elisabeth?
You just have to get the opponent high enough so they bounce on the DM instead of be in it. Once they start bouncing, the last hit will hit late, making Joe recover quick enough to follow up a combo after it.
PersonaEntertainment Hum... "high enough"... I think got it. Thanks for the reply. :)
(let's try trial 10 again)
Esse cara é fera!
Nice
How can you play a video game where the combo can't be stopped?
I won't be playing this
+smootskin A lot of those combos require 5 bars and a full HD meter which means those combos are unachievable until the 3rd round.
