A bit of a mess sound-wise and editing-wise, I'm sorry to say,. as the story is a fascinating one. I stayed at a B&B near Avebury. At breakfast, I chatted with my hosts about archaeology. They said that, just the day before, Phil Harding was field-walking right by their place. I'd have loved to have met the guy. I'd have bought him a pint and he'd have drunk it.
@20:15 they forgot to mention that the abby had experienced a major fire several years earlier and was in desperate need of funds like what they would get from pilgrims. So while the Glastonbury burial was almost certainly a fraud, you have to ask why did they pick Arthur out of anyone? Well one obvious answer is if you're going to sell a fraud it helps if it is one people would expect for the area, like if Arthur was already strongly associated with the Glastonbury area and the cathedral. And the same goes for Henry II, Arthur could be found anywhere so why Glastonbury?
@4:51 while there is nothing putting Arthur in Tintagel, it was likely a monestary, he is long associated with Cornwall/Devon/Somerset, the southwest that would have remained Romano-Briton into the 5th and 6th century and connected to Wales
It would have been great to be able to watch this documentary... but as the sound kept muting, for long periods, probably in key places... it made the video unwatchable! Shame!!
Early form of jousting from what ive found is a melee of sorts. 2 groups charge at each other and try to essentially kidnap and drag back knights an horses. The one who did the most and took the most was the winner. It was also way more violent.
OMG ... what an awful attempt at finding the real Arthur ... just so so bad ... should anyone really want to find the real Arthrur .... just read the book " ARTHUR OF THE GODODDIN " .... by Michael Ferenz and C.J. Brookes ... " Leader , warrior , brother kinsman / Red stained spearpoint attacking / Death sung by blue blade / Swift before the charge / Most worthy to lead / Foe-men in terror flee / Graves for foe-men that stand / No quarter given / No retreat made / Bear in the turmoil of combat / Slayer of enemy hosts / Celebrated , loved , renown champion / Dragon of the army / ARTUR , Gododdin King of battle " ... be well all ... "one of Arthur's men"
Is it me or was TV programming so much better from 1995-2007 or so?

How disappointing that the noise sometimes vanishes since I feel like missing important information due to that.
sound
What a disappointing end! I wanted to hear the rest of the sword making bit. And it just cut away!
Alan Wilson has cracked the code.
If we look way back, England at one time "Owned" a part of France. It was known as the Angevin Empire

It seems to be censored in some places like the Month Python bit.
