you can also hook up your snes, through your av reciever, if u own a av reciever connect the av cable monitor out on thr reciver and connect the other part to whatever u have on your tv, composite video which is 480 i. then connect your snes a/v cable toy video 1, video 2 or tv/satellite composite video jacks. A stereo av cable gives u better sound then a av cable ever would.
Ha ha!!!! Totally Awesome!!! I really Love the GRADIUS III "flirts"... even though this vid didnt help me AT ALL, like not even a little, guess my system is too far out.... but seriously,....I still love the the Gradius shots... Konami... "Pling"!!! Love it. Was always an underated game.
Was the blue multi cable something sold through Nintendo? I really only have TV's now where red/white/yellow are available for setups...so I need one of these cables.
@retrac444 You can use the Video cord but the power cord is different. If you need one I have a few original power supply's or you can buy one off e-bay or JJgames.
@acidDrop2000 If you are trying to connect it to a new LCD/Plasma/LED They have problems with the old systems. You will have to route it through your DVD or VCR. If that doesn't work send it back for a full refund plus the cost of shipping it back.
OK if it just turns black your game is dirty. Use a q-tip to clean the metal prongs on the green board on the bottom and try it again. If it still doesn't work let me know.
for the color take it a part and paint the case with plastic stick-on spray and get it to work see if its got bug in side the casing or replace the pin dock where the game connects and/or reattach wires theres a youtube video on it look it up
I have just bought a SNES from Comic Con. London. The seller give me aRFAdapter, SNES console, 2 player controls, AC adaptor plug. I asked whether can this be played on HD TV, he said yes. Where should I insert the RF adapter?(which hole of the TV)
why do you have a no name power cable? i can tell its no name because its not grey at the end where it plugs into the super nintendo like the original power cable!
Well i tryed the same thing like you 1 first tryed to switch my snes into channel 3 and then i selected channel 3 on my old tv set,no luck, then i tryed setting my snes into channel 4 and selected channel 4 on my tv set, again no luck, i had to manualy search the right channel to get a picture, also, i guess that channel3 is above 100 mhz and channel 4 above 700 mhz ,wich takes more time to find the right channel, so it's not as 1 2 3!!!
hey i've got my rf adaptor and the thing that plugs in the wall, but the last port to the left, do i need that part to make it work? Yours seems to work without it...please answer quick :P
i had probles connecting to my tv and being a bit lazy i found out that my ps2 white yellow and red cord works with the SNES just enough for it to make a connection just helping out although i know my RF outlet works because i did it before i'm just not sure how i did it before
@kenslog well i bought a multi out to see if that was the problem and nothing. still the same thing. i've cleaned out both super nintendos and still, black screen, thick white lines and a buzzing noise. I don't know man... :/ major bummer...

Im having a hell of a time trying to connect my Super Famicom, ive tried CRT, HD and through a reciever, I only get a white line upon pressing the power button, then black... nothing works, any tips? :)

I NEED YOUR HELP!!! ASAP i just purchased a mini snes system and it only has a rca cord and the power cord and im trying to hook it up to my tv and for some reason i am having a really hard time!!! help help help
@shaunboy1 Here is what My Friend had to say. Sounds a bit strange? What he needs to get is a scart lead that goes into the console and then splits into YRW cables. The same as the one that comes with a GameCube! They are about £4 on ebay I think? Adam
I've plugged everything in to the right place and made sure there is no faults with my machine, however I have gone through all the channels on my tv but cant find the right one. can anyone help?
when i was 4 years old i moved and got a nintendo 64 so i put my super nintendo into a box not knowing i missed 1 cord and left it in there for 10 years and i just now got it out and i plugged it into the wall. it still works but the bottem is yellow and the damn cord i need is 20 dollars :(
BIG PROBLEM HELP PLEASE. i bought a tv from a pawn shop. works perfect nothing wrong with it at all. its a flatt screan sscott 37" from like....04-06. thing is that it (tv) wont turn to channel 3 or 4 to let us play. someone help plz
@MsLeahface The only thing I would say you are doing wrong is maybe have it on the wrong input but if it's how you have always done it you probably know what the heck you are doing. Sounds like your video cord has gone bad. I would pick up another one and see if that helps. If you need to source one check my website they are cheap. Thanks Ken
Dang 12 years ago I wonder if he would still come back to see this
Thanks it worked. I feel weird after watching this video but hey you helped
Lamo dont worry
you can also hook up your snes, through your av reciever, if u own a av reciever connect the av cable monitor out on thr reciver and connect the other part to whatever u have on your tv, composite video which is 480 i. then connect your snes a/v cable toy video 1, video 2 or tv/satellite composite video jacks. Does this work if my Nintendo isn't cracked?
How is the cable hooked up to the DVD player? It would have helped to show every single part where cords hooked in.
I'm glad this helped you. Be sure to check out the February Contest!
HURRY UP
Thanks for the video :) Hopefully getting an SNES tomorrow, for my LED TV :P
Thanks for this video. I was trying to find out what was wrong, and I had it set to the wrong channel! Thanks a lot.
@kenslog thanks a bunch man. this was the most helpful one i found. all the otheres were confusing. i now have my "new" snes up and running thanks :)
that game kicks ass
@AmariStarship Yes using just the white and yellow is fine you just wont have surround sound.
Was the blue multi cable something sold through Nintendo? I really only have TV's now where red/white/yellow are available for setups...so I need one of these cables.
thank you so much for posting this, you're a game saver!
Have you tried the Retr0bright method?
@way2manybeer You have to probably program the TV to tune to that channel. Should be in your menu setup.
@retrac444 You can use the Video cord but the power cord is different. If you need one I have a few original power supply's or you can buy one off e-bay or JJgames.
I had one for a while it was actually my moms and her sisters we've had for a reallly long time I have lot of Mario games on it
Nintendo, You've done it again. Great Quality gaming.
@svbetts You'll have to go through your DVD player or Get the RCA Multi out.
@Luffymon88 Either that or an RF adapter.
@xobrennab since you tried everything. Something is bad. Cheapest fix could be a new video cord. But it seems like you have a problem with the Snes
@acidDrop2000 If you are trying to connect it to a new LCD/Plasma/LED They have problems with the old systems. You will have to route it through your DVD or VCR. If that doesn't work send it back for a full refund plus the cost of shipping it back.
*whistles* great come back....
*slow clap*
I'm glad it helped you!

@SuperNirvana4life The Channel switch is on the SNES itself. The only place I know of in Austrailia is Ebay for a new Multiout.
I got a Snes today, but not the multi out... do I use method 1 then? I have those wiers..
is that the color of the stem or did that appear from tons of years
@BlakePlaya No you can run off a RF Adapter.
I have just bought a SNES from Comic Con. London. The seller give me aRFAdapter, SNES console, 2 player controls, AC adaptor plug. I asked whether can this be played on HD TV, he said yes. Where should I insert the RF adapter?(which hole of the TV)
@AmariStarship No the plugs are different. If you need one let me know.
why do you have a no name power cable? i can tell its no name because its not grey at the end where it plugs into the super nintendo like the original power cable!

@mzhunnybunn Yes if you are using an RF adapter. Could also be channel 4.
hey i've got my rf adaptor and the thing that plugs in the wall, but the last port to the left, do i need that part to make it work? Yours seems to work without it...please answer quick :P
have you checked to make sure you have it on the correct channel? Your AV Cable might be dead as well. If you have another try that too.
do you need a multi out cord to get your snes to work?
Awesome tip Thanks!

@kenslog its basically lifeless, i turn the power on and all i get is a black screen. i can only get the slightest bit of flicker

Jonas Rygh your connectors for the game are broken the radio signal does not work for hd TVs or the av pins might be messed up
@Argentina1989 Yeah but that would be less of me and as you know it's all about helping people.

What about the snes 2?
Good Men
Where do you plug in the thingy in the back of the dvd player
the playstation 1.2 controller ports looks simmilar to the snes controller ports
might be nice if you show the other end of the dvd player
Why is it that all the older technology seems much more simpler than the technology today?

@agzander101 Yes it was
when i was 4 years old i moved and got a nintendo 64 so i put my super nintendo into a box not knowing i missed 1 cord and left it in there for 10 years and i just now got it out and i plugged it into the wall. it still works but the bottem is yellow and the damn cord i need is 20 dollars :(
