His World Championship gold medal in the USA. (2013) A lot of people (including myself) were saying that he was too old to perform on the highest level and that he had no chance of winning. And yet he proved us all wrong.
As a belgian,, I'm very proud we have such amazing cyclists and living icons like Sven Nys. Jeremy and the GCN team did an amazing job to portrait someone that does so much for the sports. LOVE IT!
5:13 "Perfect! He still has it!" Man I got a little nostalgia emotion there. My two favorite cyclocross racers of all time playing on the stairs. Really miss rooting for these guys all winter
As a school teacher and a long time Sven Nys fan I've never felt closer to a pro-cyclist. I can completely relate to his desire to pass on what he knows to the next generation. There is something truly satisfying to passing on knowledge to the next generation. Kudos to you Sven (and J-Pow).
how anyone could give this a thumbs down is beyond me WTF are u watching this channel for if u dont enjoy it. Awesome job Jpow keep the vids coming great content ,. I have met both u and Sven on several occasions and u both have been nothing but the real deal. Much love
Im from Brazil, here there a lot of cyclocross potential but almost no one knows about, I really want to visit this camp,,, maybe part os this can be part bicycle's events here and all aro und the world.. its so important and looks full of love! congrats!! long long life to the Sven Nys Academy!!
As a native Belgian, it's so funny to continuously hear Jeremy butcher Sven's name. Nys is pronounced like the English word 'ace' with an n in front of it. Other than that minor detail, a very good video from GCN!
It's great to see an old guy like Sven looking forward to having a disc brake bike on the display of champion bikes and having the older population riding e-bikes. He's embracing the future!
Definitely a great thing to see it'd be a brilliant thing for any parents to give their kid who wants to do cycling of any kind a couple of days at this camp.
Great to see my fellow countryman on this channel. One of the greatest athlete of our country. He would still do great in competition. Still looks so sharp! Thanks for this video👍
A gathering of Legends, for sure. Jeremy is a major asset to GCN and an inspiration for all of us that love to ride bikes. Keep creating great content like this! 👍
Not a win, but a very memorable moment was when Sven Nys gave up his second place in the general classification at the 2012 Azencross to stop and confront a spectator who was throwing beer at him each lap for a total of 7 laps. He could have snapped, but didn’t. Great sportmanship.
Great video. It is always inspiring to see a great champion giving back. The kids seem to be having a lot of fun. Jeremy has a good interviewing style.
I only learned about cross a couple years ago (thanks GCN), so I love these videos that dig into its history. Just wish stuff like this camp was more prevelant in the US 30 years ago 😅
I’ve been on that course and I think the coolest part is that there’s a restaurant on the course. Well, the coolest part of the course is that you can also ride part of the pro course with its long descent wheeeee!
Such a great video Jeremy! Nice one. We need more of this "the fabric of cycling culture" type of content... There's only so many videos one can watch about the latest aero gains! For me, this is WAY more interesting...
Wow, Sven really was super relaxed. And Jeremy was as awesome as ever. Looking at the other comments - it might be time to introduce JAM Fund to clarify that Jeremy has been at the "support the next generation"-bit at least as long as Sven. ;)
One of the best videos GCN has made. Great story. Great cinematography. Great subject. Great humour. Quick Question: Does Sven offer lessons for middle-age wannabe cyclocross participants? (Asking for a friend)
Which of his wins was the most memorable to you? What do you think is the coolest thing about his Cycling Centre in Baal?
I want to go there someday.
That wicked stair trick! I should try that around my local cyclocross track.
His last win, the WB in Koksijde
His World Championship gold medal in the USA. (2013) A lot of people (including myself) were saying that he was too old to perform on the highest level and that he had no chance of winning. And yet he proved us all wrong.
@@maartends6051 Yep the finish was awesome Sven powered through the mud to nose in front of Wout to take victory
As a belgian,, I'm very proud we have such amazing cyclists and living icons like Sven Nys.
Jeremy and the GCN team did an amazing job to portrait someone that does so much for the sports.
LOVE IT!
Man imagine how many future superstar started from this camp. Great storytelling, good job GCN and Jeremy

And he speaks English!!!
5:13 "Perfect! He still has it!" Man I got a little nostalgia emotion there. My two favorite cyclocross racers of all time playing on the stairs. Really miss rooting for these guys all winter
the passion is still there :-)
Without doubt, this is the best cyclo-cross video that I've ever seen in GCN!
Keep up the great work. Hats off to Jeremy and Sven.
Thanks Omaris
@@gcn You're welcome!
You can hear the energy and passion in Sven Nys voice

Class video. Jeremy has been a brilliant addition to the team. His enthusiasm is perhaps enough to get this old roadie to try cyclo-cross, maybe.....
Jeremy and Sven are kindred spirits in many ways. I could totally see the Jeremy Powers cycling center in Northampton!
Two great ambassadors of the sport, thanks for the great video.
Great video, gave me goosebumps! Great presenting too JPow, infectious enthusiasm. More please!

This is amazing. Great to see the support and infrastructure and it being shared. Thank you.
Two of my CX idols together making really good work to help our sport grow!! Thanks for all!!
Great to see my fellow countryman on this channel. One of the greatest athlete of our country. He would still do great in competition. Still looks so sharp! Thanks for this video👍
Can you imagine any other recently retired LEGEND in any other sport, or even another cycling discipline, giving back everyday like this??
A gathering of Legends, for sure. Jeremy is a major asset to GCN and an inspiration for all of us that love to ride bikes. Keep creating great content like this! 👍
Thanks William we think he's a real asset to GCN

Two Champions and great people! Thank you 🙏
Awesomeness for the kids future of the sport we can learn so much
I've started my last two New Years cheering riders through the mud at GP Sven Nys, but never knew of the museum. Must make sure I visit next time.
Great video! Loved seeing the museum and getting all that history!
Not a win, but a very memorable moment was when Sven Nys gave up his second place in the general classification at the 2012 Azencross to stop and confront a spectator who was throwing beer at him each lap for a total of 7 laps. He could have snapped, but didn’t. Great sportmanship.

Another classy video from Jeremy.
Thanks Shaun, we loved making this and Sven was great to work with
please do more of this kind of video, its very educational, love it 😍
Loved this! Learned a lesson too. Look for the alternative line where it may not be obvious.
Wow, Sven really was super relaxed. And Jeremy was as awesome as ever. Looking at the other comments - it might be time to introduce JAM Fund to clarify that Jeremy has been at the "support the next generation"-bit at least as long as Sven. ;)
