Did a short weekend trip to Algodonales to see what it's all about. It's famous for it's thermal flying and beginner friendliness. We ended up not being super lucky with the weather the days we were there as it was high pressure and stable leading to punchy but disorganized thermals.
All in all managed a couple flights and even a little XC so happy with it.

Love your videos! You should come to Àger, Lleida, Spain someday. Huge oficial take off and landing areas, option for both thermal and ridge flying. Many easy XC flight options. Average of 12 min flight if you don't climb, no fear to no get to the landing area. There is an XC and thermaling course there as well 😊

Great video and location, Just spent 10 days in Algo with Civa and heading back again next week cant wait.. Wow you did well to get to El Bosque, I was thermalling with the vultures there and what an amazing experience.
Just got back from algodonales and remembered you did a video! Great to recognise all the places you flew. Beautiful place and hope to return. Loved flying with the vultures.❤

@@AndreBandarra1 local only as high pressure all week so not got lots of height/did a bit if thermalling but not enough to leave sites- will definitely go back as loved it! It was a real eye opener for me and my flying.
Nice to see you dipping your feet into XC. Definitely incredible when you think you’re about to land and you hook a climb and fly 20k’s.

Awesome, I was there less than a month ago, it's so cool to watch a video and recognize all the places. I'm a complete beginner but I got a chance to fly off Levante and land in the field below. Lost the staring competition btw.

Hi! When were you at Algodonales. I was there late february. There was lot of windy days, but we did a lot of nice flights. We landed on the beach, 65k away from algo.

Just saw your east crosswind take off?! There would have been an a perfect take off to your right … why didn’t you use that one? Facing Algodonales
Over the hour or two we were there the wind was all over the place, not just coming from one direction consistently

@@AndreBandarra1 I like those proverbs usually but this one not so much. I feel that it kind of excuse sloppiness (and I've seen a deadly mid-air yesterday on landing which put me in the mood to challenge proverbs)
