    I think ULC should a gameplay of singleplayer for the chara perspective and the sans perspective where you unlock some stuff but I hope ULC's singleplayer will help us also learn how to use sanses because no SVC game ever did that.

    I, as ULC Developer and a guy who scripted the papyrus encounter fight, can assure you that Singleplayer will be somewhat better then it currently is ~~At least I think xd~~
    There's a plenty of things that needs to be done/reworked which you've stated in the video, and even more if you'll go into details, but me and my pals from the team for sure change stuff to make it at least more fun!
    The whole idea of papyrus encounter fight was 'Hey, I like the original fight so let me try to recreate it in Roblox but in my style!'.I've tried my best to get away from Adrian's rng boss fight as much as I could, which wasn't fully perfect of course but at least something

    Yknow ulc should create exp grind on single player.
    Where you play as the sans of your choice and fight 3 bots
    The 3 bots have random weapons
    Could be real knife, killer knife ,dull knife ,any weapon and their abilities.
    And have a random soul abilities too.
    The bots dodges by incoming hitboxes so if an attack hitbox is infront of them they will try to go around or wait if there is no path.
    10 exp per bot killed.
    Ngl that would be fun.

    • @pcsans8210
      @pcsans8210  9 месяцев назад

      I think the exp should be miniscule so that people are more inclined to play multiplayer. Somewhere around 1-5 exp every kill would suffice. This is because singleplayer exp is only really needed for low win characters you didn't previously get during your low wins journey. Also making a ai do that is incredibly difficult from what i've seen.

    Nice video, I think the music changes too often however.
    My opinion on your opinion:
    1: I agree. I think part of this problem is the fact that EVERY single character has to be Sans or Papyrus, who in most cases is in Sans's role and even then, gets barely a fraction of the attention his brother gets. I agree that they're the best characters in Undertale, but there are many other interesting characters that could be added. Characters like Asgore, Undyne, Toriel, Asriel, Mettaton or their AU variants and even Gerson could be added and would add plenty of variety to the gameplay in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
    The fact that the Undertale: Judgement Day developers decided adding a ridiculous, unoriginal double-stack AU like DustDust was more important than adding the original Papyrus is honestly sad. Before you complain that there isn't enough variants of these characters, just make some up and use whatever is left of your creativity for the moves, just like you did with True!Dust Sans and Really Bad Time Sans.
    2: I agree with this so much. Timelines as a mechanic are absolute trash. I honestly thought there would be a boss that I could fight after Dusttrust Sans, y'know, like, an actual final boss. But for some reason, the UJD devs didn't do that. They have to lock the final boss behind what is practically a gambling mechanic. The 'Fun' mechanic in the original Undertale only lets you see random secrets. You can still fight the final bosses and beat the game even if your 'Fun' is trash, regardless of the route you chose. In Undertale Judgement Day however, you have to gamble your time away if you want a proper final boss.
    3: I disagree with what you said about Undertale Last Corridor's rewards. I have not played singleplayer much since Adrian left the game behind, but I think the rewards you get for beating bosses are sufficient. For Horror Sans, you get two weapons (or just one? I can't remember). For Chara, you get the best soul in the game. For Underswap Sans, a ridiculously easy fight, you get Distrust Sans. For Dust Sans, you get Dustbelief Papyrus, and that is more than worth it. The wins are nothing for high-win players, but they are wonderful for low-win players, as it allows them to obtain wins with pure skill rather than by not getting killed by some OP dude. I agree with Undertale Judgement Day's rewards being good.
    4: I agree, except for the part about the ULC rewards. And we DO NOT need new character skins in ULC. If anything, there should be less skins. Skins in any game are for losers.

    • @pcsans8210
      @pcsans8210  9 месяцев назад +1

      That is a lot to cover so i'm just going to respond to some parts.
      About the ULC character skins, if done right they are pretty cool (skins i think are done right have to be pre-pacifist or dustbelief on regular papyrus). The lamer skins are the ones that just buff the character without any new moves.
      You do only get one weapon and that's cleaver for beating horror sans, you were right with the rewards section but I kinda rushed the ending without much research so that's why things like some rewards and the DS!papyrus fight were forgotten.
      Not sure how running in circles attacking is "pure skill" but I think I understand what you mean. Though the bosses are very lackluster and highly RNG based. I grinded out 100 wins and about a quarter of those were losses because fell would just force me into a bone zone/gaster blaster. Or the game would bug out and I would randomly die for no reason. There's just no fun in trying to beat those RNG bosses.
      Finally, not sure what you mean by the music changes to often, during basically every new section I used a different track with credits. I didn't think people wanted to listen to the same track, because I know I don't.

  • @Trusted-rj
    @Trusted-rj 9 месяцев назад +9

    Being real with you buffing ulc reward system is pretty impossible. There are two sides of it ULC no lifers: ULC fans, ULC no lifer are pretty much the people that get 10k wins just by grinding hyper dust 50 wins reward (idfk how people actually do this kinda stuff) and there are ULC fans that see single player as a missed opportunity. I mean its kinda difficult to change something which will eventually just lead up unbalancing it

    • @pcsans8210
      @pcsans8210  9 месяцев назад +1

      I think adding a function that gives you wins the first time you beat the boss and then afterwards you just get like 1-5 exp per kill would be a good way to buff the reward system, of course they could add milestone kills to make it even better (ex. beating pacifist 25 times or something would give the umbrella pacifist uses in the new update).

    I've seen this said in the ULC Discord alot, but i'll say it here anyway. The problem with getting exp for killing singleplayer bosses is that it kinda ruins multiplayer mode and grinding. you could max out every single character without even touching multiplayer. you could be complete trash at every single character, and still have them maxed out. it takes away the aspect of needing skill and learning how to use your character to get exp. every suggestion that suggests this gets x bombed immediately. Its a good video though, I agreed with everything except this, nice job! (sorry for ranting lol)

    I might sound weird but about the "UJD singleplayer rewards are good and BALANCED"
    They're not (comparing to non-singleplayer rewards). Everything LV related is meta (If not, then just the most optimal choice overall).
    Chara combo (a 1k wins combo) at 20 LV > Asgore combo (a "6"k wins combo) BY A MILE
    And the characters, man, you can max out gamepass characters (specially aftertale) at ZERO WINS. And if you don't have robux, don't worry, you can obtain Sansposter at the cost ZERO WINS and get LV 20 at the cost of ZERO WINS to absolutely eradicate anyone in your path (even Chara Update content has a hard time defeating the average Sansposter user).
    And you know the best part? EVERYTHING IS SO EASY TO GET, YOU JUST NEED GOOD RNG, YOU DON'T EVEN NEED A LOT OF WINS (or none at all), OR BE GOOD AT THE GAME BECAUSE MOST FIGHTS ARE JUST "circle around X character and hit them when you get the chance to".
    Oh yeah, DustDust. Well, he's... the strongest character in the game (alongside being "unbeatable") and all...
    Yeah... I probably sound like a weirdo saying something you definitely are aware of

    As somebody who actually owns the dustdust combo, I agree with everything said in this video. Ujd single player gets extremly grindy after reaching lv 10. I hardly grinded dusttrust because of the sheer amount of time it took to beat him, when you could beat other enemies and gain more exp in half the time. A lot of the enemies lack variety, and only use recolored bone throws, bonezones or gaster blasters, and only on occasion you'll get attacks like dusttrust's slashes, or error's strings. Like you mentioned in the video, Dustdust is only "hard" because it takes 200 hits to kill him, and he can pretty much oneshot you at any given moment. Really good video overall that highlights the problems with the single player mode in UJD and ULC (Though I don't know much about ULC, as I'm more of a UJD fan)

      Ujd has their own type of lore they utilize already created characters and give them their own twist in their game this is also said on the discord in game surveys whether they should create b404 lore and add b404 as b404 would be equal to divine dustdust in game thats how their in game lore works
      Some characters will follow attack patterns that they don’t usually cause this is obviously apart of their lore
      Also other mentions is that they want to make it more accurate and ima try to put this in my own words to the best of my ability
      To make it all more accurate that npcs usually keep a normal pace just so you can keep up with them this mostly only goes for low rewarding characters or npcs
      So say if you were fighting a npc where they have a phase so in their first phase they will start at a normal pace and as you hit them more and more a script generates something to make them gradually get faster and faster attacks and a way different pace from you
      But if your character/npc gives you a big reward it’s guaranteed to be extremely hard as dd was made to be unbalanced from the game as in ujds own lore 404 and dd are competitors

      @@user-hq3fj9cp9q Well that was still a bit confusing, it was way more clear then the last comment. Number one, I HIGHLY doubt that they are using different attacks because it "fits into their own lore", as it's obviously just a blatant cop out so that they don't have to make new moves. Also big rewards equaling unbalance is not how that works, you should get a big reward for a hard challenge. I'll say this time and time again, UJD has a issue separating difficulty - time, the fights aren't "hard/challenging", they are just so long that you'll end up dying before the fight ends because eventually you'll slip up. So far every character that has gotten there "own twist" has only gotten that twist because it benefits the game, such as dusttrust. His actual phase four was completely dumped for a mediocre copy paste sans clone because the model was probably easier to make. This is how everything came across to me, a person who has played this game for quite a long time and watched it grow and die more times then I can count on both my hands.

It is understandable why, but with all the updates they have been doing to buff the Chara and Sans team, I feel those characters should be getting some more love too. Pacifist is supposed to be the weakest, but at least several updates ago, if you had enough, talent, you could still win with him. He has only ever been updated for an event badge that no one ever uses anymore (that is OP as hell), because their are characters that are just better. DustDust, yes, is unfair with their 2nd phase (on both solo and normal), but that is supposed to be the point. However, the badge’s cost is not anywhere near worth it for phase 1.
    UDJ has been having the problem of buffing things that don’t need buffed, and neglecting the common. If you joined the game years ago and got the badges, the wins, and the singular reset, you’ll be set (even though you will not use those badges since everyone will quickly kill you). If your a new player, or a player who wants to re-experience the good ol’ days by completely resetting all your progress, you’ll be absolutely screwed in every way when you finally leave (if you even even entered) the lower difficulty servers. Not only is everyone already got several thousand wins, but they all are good at the game (or just have managed to get there hands on the upgraded Horror, Insanity, Dust, and Killer and main them).
    This problem also extends to the OP players due to the absolute unfairness of how easy it is to get a one-shooting move now. You used to have to wait until you got 10,000 wins, but now, you only need a bit of single player, and bearly even 1,500 wins. These move, might I add, one-shot people, through their multiple lives. Horror is the worst with it, since the wanting area only appears shortly before it happens and doesn’t give you enough time to get out of it. Delta has this problem too, but at least he doesn’t one shot everyone.
    To be honest, as a who has gone through the trouble to try and completely reset the game with another account, I can confirm this game’s newfound horror for noobs. There are legitimately only 4 characters I feel relatively safe using: Hardtale, Epic, Geno, and Error. Everyone else kinda just dies before much can be done.
    ULC. It really doesn’t have problems that extend to the multiplayer except that it just isn’t worth your time to go to single player. I got an alternate account with no data on it and joined ULC, and got all but the Dust and DT (and the Hate and Dustswap) badges without even stepping foot in single player. The rewards single player gives are decent for the effort it takes to get them, but it legitimately isn’t worth doing anymore, unless you just don’t have the badges from it, and even then, Chara only gives the badge, and that is it! Single Player in ULC does need fix due to all the problems it has (Dust and Fell specifically. Fell can do 86 damage in 0.2 seconds! Dusts move set is just kinda funky and can be manually moved by you! Plus, the bone throw hitboxes aren’t quite aligned).
    The reason I say it isn’t worth going to single player isn’t actually because you get the badges from the start (though that is a part of it). It is surprisingly the rewards themselves. In ULC, the best way to play, is to actually play. Waste as much time as you can in low win servers to grind EXP so you have a good chance to escape to demons that wait outside of it. All character in the low wins area are very good, and are arguably better than some of the higher win characters, but the EXP is what actually makes them playable against the 1k wins people who gang up on you. In single player, the rewards are wins, which are nice, but single player is meant for when your struggling to get wins. In ULC, the play style you want to have is to grind at low wins to make it so that later on, when your grinder the higher win character and are struggling, you have a decent chance to get past them. Getting more wins in the beginning is only going to make you struggle more.
    If anyone has read all of this and watch the video all the way through, thanks for listening/reading. These are the issues I’ve had with these games for a while and while I don’t mind the issues with ULC since they are are miniscule and don’t really make a difference, I think we can agree that UJD really needs to start working on some things. I mean, a majority of the video and about 4 paragraphs of this comment are dedicated to some of UJD’s issues that need addressed. Anyways, everyone have a good day and enjoy what you can, as I’m pretty sure UJD is only going to get worse… and I don’t think I even went over all of UJD’s issues now that I think about it…
    Ok, I’m going to stop this madness for now. Bye!

      Just finished reading, honestly I might make another video covering the topic of low wins in both games, why ULC does it better and why UJD low wins suck. Probably could extend to mid wins for UJD though. Thank you for your response!
      Also, a lot of this video was UJD because I have a lot more experience with that game then ULC, also their singleplayer is more thought out and more finished then ULC's is right now.

      @@pcsans8210 I am the same way. I can appreciate UJD’s single player for it’s completeness, secret jokes, and unnecessary but very appreciated extra dialogue. I’ve been playing UJD for admittedly less time than many others, but I’ll been around since before the No More Deals Event. It was a very fun game to play during that time. Even when they added an over-the-top Dusttrust who was even more OP during his first release, it felt less like a chore to fight him, and more like a fun challenge. Ever since they added TS!Underswap though, things have started to get out of hand. Wins seemed less valuable, and no one really used anything else since they all were just grinding wins with the most OP character they could get their hands on… and they were pretty cool.
      I think the only real problem with TS at the time was how powerful they were for such a cheap character. They were relatively easy to use, and were really hard to beat. The only way to beat them was to rush them, or learn how to dodge and avoid him. Not even Integrity had a high enough jump to escape the bone dividers… then more characters with decently low costs and high destructive abilities came in. X!Chara (ok, maybe this one was a bit expensive at the time), ClassicSwap, Bad Time Trio, Revenge (who had always been a bit of a wildcard, DT was his only counter), Rejuvenation, (I almost got the badge, but the event closed while I was on the last phase 😩… same with) Pacifist phase 2. At the time, these character were really OP for how little they cost. The Chara team had no real counter against them (Unless you got Overwrite, or eventually Asgore).
      So, they buffed the combos (Intergity unfortunately got a significant downgrade, losing the speed boost for a useless jump boost and the bug with Justice got fixed (this bug didn’t really help anyone survive ClassicSwap, but it did make it all the more fun to try to fight)). This… was when everything truly started to lose its balance. Old and cheap characters were left forgotten. New characters got reworked to be fair against the new power dynamic. New combos were added to aid the Chara team. Any character not reworked, who get killed quickly. That isn’t to say the reworks were the best either. Many times, they were only buffing combos and debuffing Sans’s. Bad Time Trio got some of the worst of it, along with Dusttrust.
      However, this were limiting the freedom to play, that the game had had before. The new combos were fun, but too op. Instead of debuffing the combos, they chose to rework the new characters they made to counter them. This made the Sans team OP to older combos (even if they did get reworked a little bit), and newer combos be too strong. With this strength, they chose to add new characters to combat those combos instead of reworking the games balance in general. Personally, I say that that was a missed opportunity, because when something is new, people flock to try it out, even if just once. Reworking a majority of the characters in the game might take a lot of time, but making the game fair seems like it would be worth it. Besides, the majority of their events are just 2x weeks anyways, no one really would have noticed if the game wasn’t updated with any other events a few times.
      Ok. I think I’m going to stop this documentary here. This time, I legitimately did not mean to go on for this long, but I hope this provides some use to you in that other video you mentioned. Remember to take breaks and enjoy yourself!

    I kinda agree and disagree with the ulc part of the video (I'm talking about the rewards) Singleplayer is the best place to get wins currently. Seriously, 30 seconds to get 2 wins on fell sans? You can get reset + 1k wins less than three 3 days if you really put in the grind. (It also requires almost no brains cells)
    But there's one thing they *could* make. Distrust boss fight! Currently you get distrust by defeating us Sans wich is a joke of how easy the fight is. But the idea is good and could be improved on! Maybe even upgrades for defeating certain characters? Defeating Dust Sans to unlock Terrible Story upgrade for the DustBelief skin could be one of those.
    Another thing is currently the bosses have 0 patterns, the only pattern that i could find was if Dust Sans isn't using bone rush then he will keep blastering you for a while (Wich isn't always true). I know that patterns might make a fight easy with enough given time, but it's just superior to (Go randow bs!).
    Overall the ULC singleplayer has alot of potential so i hope they make something that Adrian couldn't make.

      Very good response, but the problem with the rewards goes hand in hand with the difficulty. It's so excruciatingly boring to fight sans and underfell (along with us sans i guess, but who actually fights him for wins) that it makes it a chore to fight for long periods of time. I do think you are right in some parts though.

    Great video, just one quick comment, I agree that ULC rewards could give stuff like skins and exp on characters which would be cool (and hopefully will happen), but while the fights are boring, they are fast and easy (dust sans and hyper dust not really (at least for me) but can be learned), and because of this, you can grind really easily, and if you master fell, you can get 1 reset +1k wins in around 8.5 hours (way faster than multiplayer), if you master dust you can get 1k wins + 1 reset in 7 hours (way faster than multiplayer, and faster than fell), so either the win portion of ulc rewards need to be nerfed, taken away, or get some sort of cooldown (video I got the numbers from: ruclips.net/video/YEvf-7tUKQ8/видео.html)

    • @pcsans8210
      @pcsans8210  9 месяцев назад +1

      A win cooldown is actually a pretty good idea if they end up going the path of exp for the character you kill, I do think that the exp you get from killing a character should be decreased by a lot (like 1-5 exp every kill) so that it still promotes playing multiplayer for exp. I like the quick aspect of the ULC fights so if they do keep they will most likely need to reduce the win amount or add a cooldown like you said.
